Voyage of he LM in HS

We loved the Beauty and the Beast show in HS. Is VLM like this? Do they actually sing or is dubbed? Finally, what time of the day would you recommend seeing it? TIA!

They are different experiences, but LM is still entertaining. I think they are lip singing, but I could be wrong about that. ITs definitely shorter!

Very different but I like both. Voyage of the LM runs pretty much continually throughout the day.... easy to get in and it's in a cool darken theater so it's perfect for hot, crowded part of the day.

Ariel sings live, that's about it. The show is great on a hot day though. You can get sprinkled by water.
Out of the 2 B&TB is more Broadway

I don't think the Beauty and the Beast Show is very similar to Voyage. While the first has more live parts, the second uses puppets and videos to achieve the underwater character effects. Ariel definitely sings live, but I'm not sure about the other characters. It's definitely not straight from the movie soundtrack, though, because the voice actors sound slightly different. Voyage is perfect in the middle of the afternoon as there is usually never a wait and it's air conditioned. I actually prefer the little mermaid show to the other, but I love the movie!

Ariel is the only character that sings live (which isn't that different from beauty and the beast, where only Belle and Gaston sing live). The little mermaid show is very much focused on puppetry, which is really amazing imho. The Ursula puppet is huge and the Under the Sea sequence is stunning. I love both shows.

I like the Mermaid show because of some of the effects, with the "rain" (you may feel some sprinkles or mist), the "under water" effects. Some is live, with Ariel singing, but then the puppets too. It's a nice variety. But like everyone else said, it feels heavenly in there when it's hot out. It makes for a very enjoyable break. My older kids weren't sure they wanted to see if (kind of groused) but the 4 year old wouldn't miss it, and we're going in August. I told them just wait, they will be praying to sit in that dark, air conditioned theater!

My son was an Entertainment CM for several years and among other things, did a LOT of puppetry - including Sebastian in VotLM and Mickey and Jake at Disney Junior. As others have said, Ariel is the only performer singing live.
