Having been to Chef Mickey's year after year, we decided to try Crystal Palace this past December. If I had to choose only one, definitely ...

Crystal Palace

We found the food selection smaller than at CM. But, the quality seemed better, character interaction NOT rushed and our server was very attentive. :thumbsup2 Also, we had a great window seat view of Cinderella Castle. Not a bad way to start your day. :wizard:

One person's nirvana is another person's ...

Personally, the thing I most look for in a breakfast buffet is fresh fruit and good coffee! Both seem to in short supply at WDW these days...

While not a buffet the breakfast at 'Ohana had a wonderful fruit selection and press pot of coffee. Yum!! :goodvibes

Yes, CP does have the made-to-order-omelet/eggs station. That's why my DW loves CP. We'ver never been to CM. I'm thinking about trying it during our next trip in August. I've made ADR's to both CP and CM. My DS is more of a Mickey character fan. I know that DW won't like CM without the made-to-order eggs. Breakfast is her favorite!

We are the same way...would prefer CM characters, but the food at CP sounds better!

I like the atmosphere at CP better. The restaurant is beautiful. That being said, it's pretty cool to see the monorail pass overhead at CM's.

We like Crystal Palace. Not only is the food better, but the atmosphere is more pleasant - light and airy vs. a little darker at CM's. Plus we do love the Pooh gang.

You will not be disappointed with CP. We had little interaction with the characters when we were there in Nov. but it was the end of lunch time and I didn't mention it to the server. I would definitely go there again.

I am a huge Pooh fan, but I also like the food at CP a bit better than CM.
My vote is for Crystal Palace!

We had an absolutely horrible experience at Chef Mickey's (dry, tasteless food, little choice and even the ice cream machine gave out ice cream soup instead of ice cream :furious: ) and will never go back  On the other hand, we have had two super meals and times at the Crystal Palace

We've done both and by FAR CP is so much better. The food without question was better and I also think the character interaction was better. The characters stayed a bit longer at each table. Good luck!

Be happy with CP! Took our DDs when they were 5 and 7 to CM; it is so hyped up and loud, they didn't eat a thing...too excited about the atmosphere. We were buying food an hour after we left CM for the girls. I LOVE CP! Much more calm...more time with characters, just a better experience over all.

I love everyone's opinions and thoughts! Thanks so much!! I can't wait to eat there!! :thumbsup2

I love riding the monorail to CM. It's just cool.
I also love having a window seat at CP during wishes. It's cool too.
