Took a look at the article and: 3-Park Seasonal and Annual passes that are valid beginning November 2 will receive two additional months to compensate for Volcano Bay’s seasonal closure.

I read elsewhere that you can also downgrade to a 2-park pass and receive the difference back as a refund.

I'm actually happy about this because it will extend my pass long enough to cover my Dec trip.

Yeah - me too. I actually only bought the three park so I could go over for a day or two and check out the food and drink in the park - not all that interested in the rest. Even if I was going to go in the water - its unlikely at that time period anyway.
So I end up with a 17 month pass.

I'll just say once again Universal has really done a great gob overall with the COVID situation
