Volcano Bay at night?

We’re doing a few days at Universal on July. Everyone says get to Volcano Bay early - and we will on at least one day - but wondering if people have ever gone in the late afternoon / evening? Especially nights when it’s open until 9. Does it clear out at all so that you could show up later and still find a seat somewhere?

We left at 2:00 last week because it was packed and people were steady pouring in.

Good to know. Too bad because it would be nice to do in the evenings / afternoons but sounds like we should just get there early instead.

I had heard it starts to slow down around 4 but there were too many people there for me.

For the Power & Preferred APs, the blockout VB dates allow entry at 4pm. That leads me to believe that VB crowds drop significantly around then. Plus just logic - people who got there early are tuckered out & head out, and fewer people are entering in the evening. Also why VB closes at 5pm during slower times of the year.
