if you do not post names or titles of who said it or who you heard something from you should be ok to post ;)

Ask a mod first

Did you by any chance just go see The Da Vinci Code :p .

(I knew Flight was a cat all along...!)

uh nope but mal said it was ok for me to post That staff can have normal vmk friends even though they say they cant accept them some know but I didnt and i learned to nights ago

how they never accept tho

This just opened a can of worms...I wonder how many vmk'ers actually read these boards (non-members) because some vmk players may use the complaint that it is "un-fair" how staff accept some general members and do not others. While I understand it is okay to post on these boards (not against any kind of rules) I wonder how much vmk staff really wanted that publically known. :confused3

This is not really a secret. This has been known for sometime. A good number of players I know, who are not staff, have staff on their friends list because they help out during events and what not. It's just easier for staff to say, they cannot accept friends than to try to explain that they can only have so many friends on their list since they have a limit as well. I mean, can you imagine how difficult it would be to explain that to every player that asks with our limited dictionary? Plus regular players can not ask staff to be their friend, it will be staff who will ask you. Again, they usually pick players who they find to be as helpful as CL's and may need them during events or what not to help out.

you don't have to say the secret. just tell me how you discovered it!

I think that the staff should be allowed to have their own personal friends on their list if they want to, just like the rest of us. It's the same with any job you have your co-workers in your work phone and your personal friends. What's the big deal?

I'm sure they must get so tired of total strangers asking them to "be friends".

I agree with you partly, Cat_Herder. However, I don't think VMK staff should accept personal friends. They can do that with their "play" characters or their "just for fun" characters. As a VMK staff character (clad in green), they should either accept all players that ask or don't accept at all. VMK isn't real life and so I think they should try and keep the game as fair as possible. It is a Disney game so the "magic" should be tried to be kept alive...don't you think? :confused3

well just to add some fuel to the fire. Anyone who thinks staff should add all or nothing to their friends list, do you add everyone who asks to your friends list?

I still disagree, I think they should have the right to have on their list anyone they want and they have the right to refuse anyone they want, just like the rest of us.

Their job requires them to add all CL to their list (whether they are their personal friends or not) but it obviously doesn't require them to take *everyone* on their list.

I am a CL and I am not on any staff member's list. To be honest, I have never asked any to be friends because I figure they are constantly pestered with requests and if they need me to help out, they'll ask me!

Even as a CL, I am constantly asked to be friends and I have tried to be kind and helpful and add anyone who asks, but it has proven to be a big mistake. Kids follow me everywhere I go (it's actually more like stalking), usually to ask for gifts. A girl was furious with me yesterday in the Emporium because I didn't respond to her questions. (I was trading and couldn't.) As soon as the trade ended, I was about to say hello when she told me to take her off my list. I told her she could remove me from hers, but I just wasn't able to respond immediately. She left the room and I sent her a message at once, to tell her that I was in a trade - I didn't want her feelings to be hurt. She pretended that she didn't know what I was talking about. First, she claimed it wasn't her (my friend, RiceOwl, witnessed the whole thing) and then she said someone else must have been on her account! (It all happened in about 60 seconds!). I told her I had to delete her from my list.

So I can see why people - not just staff - want to be choosy about who is on their list.
