vmk has ruined my grammar

Is it just me or does this afflict other people? I have found myself typing on in stead of one (and so on) in my everyday writing. All my friends that dont play think I am going crazy because I dont seem to know any of my numbers anymore!

NOt a huge problem but, like others, I pause when using the word "name" and also I have added "woot" to my vocabulary and am perceived as being something of a lumberjack, as a result. lol

Once for an essay in school i wrote on(meaning one) and to, just like that and when i got back the paper there were big red circles with a question mark next to it. I was so embaressed, the teacher proabably thought i was an idiot. I've learned my lesson now to check over everything before i hand it in. lol.

I can tell when a person plays VMK because they use on instead of one in instant messaging. It doesn't really affect me that much because I don't talk very often, but if I did, I'm sure my grammar would be affected.

Well my biggest problems are one and two. I keep wanting to write on and too. And the too seems to be winning all the time. I manage to catch it but it hurts my brain while I freeze and think oh ya it is too I can say it here.

Yes it does affect my grammar. I can just see it now, a 20/20 exclusive is Disney making our kids dumb? Is disney being used to bring down the USA by confusing our young children and thus causing irriversible brain damage. Or is this a clever ploy to teach the next generation a secret code language a new defense against ememy powers. You be the judge.

i always find myself pausing in IMs or even email when writing numbers...i stop and realise " oh yeah, i can write 1, 2, 3 " the number keys work in real life.

Also... a good side note... my kids and i can talk vmkese and Dh won't know a bit what we are saying while we crack up a round the supper table. A whole new world .............

I wrote down "for" instead of "four" once in Math this year. Last year for a report before one of my friends at school played VMK I typed "baby" "bay be." She looked at me weird, as if I was from another planet. She said "Why did you type it like that?" I told her "Uh... It's because of a game that I'm on. We can't say 'baby' so you have to type it 'bay be'" She said "That's stupid!"
