VMK Cracking Down On ''Taken?''

The other day when I was in Small World Imports, VMK_Flamingo walked in and immediately said to a player in the room: ''Please change your signature.''
I got curious and checked out her signature before it was changed; it said: ''Not taken. I need somebody to <3.''

I thought this was really weird, I mean not every day do Staff come to a public VMK room specially to tell somebody to change their signature. Maybe its just VMK_Flamingo who thought it was inappropriate, but maybe VMK Staff was told to take action.. ?

Has anybody else seen similar action being taken, or is just me?

I haven't seen VMK Flamingo in ages. Glad to hear she is still around. To answer your question, I've never seen Staff make any comments about taken.

I think it was the "I need somebody to <3" part, not the taken part.

All of this "taken" business is starting to get on my nerves. It's so disgusting, they don't even know each other and they're asking to be each other's boyfriends and girlfriends. I haven't seen any VMK staff say that to anybody yet.

I agree totally. It's gross and disturbing. I just learn to ignore it, as long as they aren't doing anything to you that is. But if they aren't talking to you, I dont see the problem. The taken part is other people's business, if they want to ask other people out that they dont know, fine with me. It's not my problem. Learn to ignore it, there will be alot of it going around, and I dont think VMK is going to stop it any time soon.

I agree with Monkey. Try to ignore it. Sometimes I go in the Sci-Fi-Dine-In. Yeah, I know, it's the worst place for taken. I go in there just to make sure it doesn't go too far. I check people's signatures too. One girl's signature was wrong for taken, and personal info:
"Hi, Im not taken and i need cute boy with me! oh im a cheer leader for my middle school. please be mine, if ur my friend ur my boy friend!"

I once got a message about doing taken, but don't do it anymore. I thought they had a messaging system instead of staff coming to their room to tell them @_@

I used to do it (I must confess ) but then I stopped because I realized that boys started to forget about me, and the one I had before just deleted me because he was never .

I got over it, and started to realize that the idea of taken was gross in the first place. But that was when I first joined, and got the family's new computer last year. I didn't know better, mostly because I just joined .

Now I suprisingly don't see many people who do taken because I spend most of my time in Pirates. Just remember, the people who wear cheerleader outfits normally do the taken thing. (WHY DOES VMK EVEN LET YOU SAY THE TERRIBLE WORD IN THE FIRST PLACE?????)

Many people are still doing it, but someday maybe, just hopefully, VMK players will join the untaken side.

Also, the people those do taken don't understand that they are just virtual characters in the game and people they don't even know in real life. Taken people even ask where you live sometimes!!!!! It sometimes feels like you just want to the computer when you see that .

i am getting more and more sick of this taken thing. VMK is NOT a dating service, it is a free online game that has rules that include no close relationships. I don't care if people who know each other in real life do taken, but people doing taken to other people that they don't even know is just wrong. My ideas towards it are that there are only like forty different faces a boy or girl can have, and people who say "your cute" or "are you taken" are pretty foolish. That's like asking a person out wearing a face covered mask!! VMK is not for dating, and if people want to do that, I suggest them move to another online game, just not VMK.
