Vmk banning anyone now?

My brother said he has gum, meaning he has chewing gum but what did vmk think he said GUN. We got a 24 ban and yes other's think wow 24 hours, with the time on vmk coming to an end 24 hours is a while I know people have gotten perm bans and can't get them reversed now but just because my ban is not as big my ip shouldn't be banned because of a mistake vmk made?
