ok have any of you non-mtv people noticed how incredibly off topic you are? I wanted to talk about the VMA's, not why you hate mtv..

Oh so let me get this right......you would like me to post a topic on why i hate Mtv?! It's more on topic in this thread than it would be in any forum. You want me to stay on topic.....alright.....VMA's suck. They hand out awards to "artists" who have no talent, dont write there own music and are totally manufactured while the bands that deserve credit are out on tour working there butts off to give their fans a good show.....and theyre not doing it for fame, money or a VMA theyre doing it for the fans and for their love of music. I hope that was on topic enough!

They hand out the awards to mostly people who play pop music like NSYNC or Britney Spears!!

How about the classic music like with Aerosmith or U2??

I can tell you're trying to side with me moose, Aerosmith and U2 may have been good bands in the past but Mtv gas turned them into POP stars. POP is mainstream and for the most part sell out or talentless bands and/or groups. Aerosmith is washed up and fits right into that category.....they should have quit while they were ahead. U2 has managed to come up with some increddible music and they are an extremely talented band but they have been mainstream since the early days. They do a good job of keeping their music meaningful though there for I respect them but none the less they are in that category you all know and love: POP!

ok umm..if you would have WATCHED it U2..got the biggest award of the night...its like a Micheal Jackson performer award and I think thats a lot bigger than any other ones...I mean they have been around from the beginning.

and remember its videos...if the stars dont put out videos and good ones at that they arent gonna get awarded

I mean let me get it out in the open..i HATE metallica..I HATE them...I think they are just 80's bands still trying to make money when no one really cares about them...if you were to post a thread on Metallica I would never go and write that...I dunno but I just think of that as rude!

So please dont hesitate(seriously). If I were to post a thread on metallica you wouldnt post your opinion?! Why not?! I find that rude! What would the world be without others opinions..........you dont sound like youre the type to just shut up and hold back. I'm always up for a friendly debate(not argument, theres no sense in getting mad at ppl I cant even see or hardly know). So PLEASE PM your opinion on this whole Mtv thing and throw in some Metallica bashing if you would like I'll be waiting......

Oyyy!!! She loves aerosmith but says 'tallica is an old 80's band! FYI aerosmith has been around alot longer than 'tallica and just to give you an idea how old.......Steven Tyler is in his 50's!
