HI!, I am new here, but enjoy all the posts I`ve read. I need your opinion on "Vistana Villages", I have bee dogged by "Starwood vacations" tp get me to stay @ "Caribe Royale" for a timeshare presentation on "Vistana". BUt I asked if I could stay @ the "Villages" instead, they said yes. The cost is $369 for (5) nights, and since I am staying for 8 more nights, I called direct and got a quote to stay for $147.50 a night....I also had looked into "Fort wilderness resort" , a junior suite was $420! they are crazy!. BUt I am hearing that there is another "Vistana resort", closer to LBV. I am so confused!, Thanks for any help. Frank

We have stayed at Vistana Villages twice now. Both times we booked through hotel kingdom.com. Your rate sounds great. We traveled with three children and truly loved the resort.

We have also stayed at the Vistana Resort which is about 1-2 miles from Vistana Villages. We prefer Vistana Villages. It is much newer and more nicely decorated. I would definitely stay at Vistana Villages over Vistana Resort. Hope this helps.

ARe you saying that Caribe Royal is part of the Starwood group. I was unaware of that.

How exactly did you get the 5 nights for that rate? I have stayed there 3 times and would do so again in a minute but we could not get a great rate. I realize it was for the timeshare presentation but still I hve not seen it anywhere. Definately stay at the Villiages. It is much smaller than the Vistana REsort, it is newer, and the Villiage is just a few minutes away from the the Resort property. The pool is wonderful. The rooms are spotless and beautifully decorated. Ask to be on any floor but the first. People walking by can look right in if you forget to close the curtains.

Also I think I saw this on Hotelmart.usa If you stay 6 nights you get the 7th free at the Vistana (or 5 nights with 6th free cannot remember). If they tell you you cannot combine offers just make a seperate reservation. I am not sure of the e mail address for this service but go to a search engine and put in Hotel Mart USA and they will get you there.

I think we could help you better if we knew what size rooms are you being offered and for what dates?

P.S.
Vistana's Villages timeshare tour is low pressure.

We really enjoyed staying at VV. So much room, and very nicely decorated. I do hope you will have a car, though. I would not rely on their transportation. It is in a very nice, upscale area of LBV. Quieter than the other end of International Drive or 192. I have never stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, but this seems like a much better deal. There are plenty of restaurants in driving distance. No room service at VV, but there is a little deli that was pretty good for lunches.

I just got an "invitation" in the mail for the Sheraton Vistana Villages for a 4 night stay at $45/night. This is for a 1-bedroom villa. We were planning a trip in Nov. and were thinking about staying at HIFS (we love it there) But now I am wondering if I should look into this. I'm not really crazy about doing the presentation but if it is low pressure maybe we should consider it. Oh, it also says we get a $100 gift to use at WDW, Seaworld or Universal. We were planning on staying for 7 nights so I'm sure any extra nights will cost more. Maybe we could split the week between the resorts. DS-4 is looking forward to the themed room at HIFS. Any thoughts or opinions on this?

yes, do it. It is no big deal. We stayed there two years in a row. Both years we did the presentation. First year we got a break on universal tickets, Second yr, we got a break on medieval times tickets. We told them when we checked in that we had done the tour last year and they didnt care. The second year was easier then the first. We had never done a tour before and didnt know what to expect. Both times we stayed their via hotelkingdom.com but the timeshare was not required for either stay.

P.S. Other guests at VV told me Marriot was another easy one, but I was told to STAY AWAY from Westgate tours!!!!
