Vista Cay--opinions?

We were booked for Windsor Hills in 2 weeks, but the owner and management co. did not communicate well and I was left high and dry. Got a last minute place at Vista Cay but paid significantly more for it. What does anyone know about this place? Bummed that it's so far from Disney, but didn't have much choice at this point.

Also, Everyone BEWARE of renting from private owners in this economy! People are reporting paying for places in advance only to have the place in foreclosure when they get there.

Never stayed at VC, but went to check it out and it looked really nice. I think its about 15-20 to Disney. What a bummer about your WH rental. Have a great vacation!

I stayed at Vista Cay a couple years ago when I was attending a convention at the Orange County Convention Center. It is very easy to get to Disney as it sits right between International Dr and Universal Blvd. Vista Cay was designed by the same company as Windsor Hills and has some similarities. When I was there a couple years ago they were breaking ground to build a grocery store and shopping area right at the entrance to Vista Cay. If you have any more questions I will try to answer them for you.

We stayed at Vista Cay about 1 1/2 years ago, just for a couple of nights. We loved it! Very nicely decorated unit and it was super easy/fast to get to Disney. As PP stated, I was also there during construction of grocery store but we commented that would be super convenient once open. You made a good choice!
