I was just wondering, we have family that are staying off-sit and are visiting Orlando at the same timw we are there --do you know if they can come over to the Fort to visit us and to check it out.
Yes they can.
You will have to make security aware of when you are expecting them. I believe the you will have to leave their names at the Guard Shack.
Sure! But they won't be able to drive to your site. They'll need to park at the lot at the entrance (follow the signs for folks visiting for trail rides and Hoop De Doo), then they can ride the internal bus from there. So you'll want to communicate to them your site # (and the color of bus closest to you) once you're there. Alternately, they could also walk to your site if you're not too far away...it is a nice stroll and gives a nice sense of the peace and quiet of the Fort.

Not a bad idea, but we've never done that in the many times we've visited my parents at the Fort when we were at other resorts. I'm recalling a second entrance to the parking area beyond the guard shack where the general public can park if they're eating or participating in other Fort activities.
Thanks for the info. I didn't realize that they wouldn't be able to drive over to our site and would have to take the bus or walk. But that makes sense though or you may get a lot of traffic and parking may be crazy throughout the Fort. Thanks for letting me know.
