Hi, all.

So we’re (family of 5) heading down to Disney next week and staying at AKL:Jambo in a 1B villa. I know the occupancy is 5, but I have a question. One of my friends works down there and she plans on hanging out with me and my family one of the nights.

Can she stay with us for like 1-2 hours that night in the room after we get back from the park that night? Or should we stick to the lobby? She doesn’t plan on staying over and will be picked up from the resort by one of her friends. Or is the occupancy a hard five for all the time? I’m trying to make sure none of us get in trouble.

Same question for our studio at BWV?

I can't imagine visiting you in the room would be a problem. Going swimming would be a violation.

People can visit your unit as long as you do not exceed the max number of people staying overnight. There may be more comfortable places in the resort to hang out, but feel free to invite your guest up.

I can confirm that it will not be a problem as long as they are not staying over night or using the pool. We did the same thing with a 2 br the last time we were at Disney with a friend that lives down there. There shouldn’t be a problem.

Yeah, swimming won’t be happening that night since we probably won’t be getting back until nine, or nine thirty.

Great, thanks! We’re probably still going to hang out in the room.

Good to hear! She won’t be doing either, but it’s good to know since we’ll also have a 2 bd villa in April when we go back, so if she wants to visit, she still can! Thanks!

If you have a valid free space in you 2bd villa you can add her to the reservation and she can enjoy all of the guest privileges including the pool (:-) .

Didn’t think about that. I’ll talk to her when we see this weekend and see what she thinks. That may make EMH a bit feasible for her to do. Thanks for the advice!

About 10 years ago, we had a get-together in a 2 BR at the BWV. There were about 25 people there that evening (like you, it was about 2 hours). It never occurred to any of us that we might be doing anything wrong regarding occupancy limits. Have a good time!

Several years ago in an OKW 1-Bdrm for Thanksgiving, we had four people for the night and 8 people over for dinner. Requested and received three extra parking passes for three additional vehicles. DW cooked the turkey and dressing in the resort and the visitors brought the sides and dessert.
