We are DVC members and will be renting a car with a split stay at BWV and Wilderness Lodge. Family members are attending a convention with their young children at the Grand Floridian while we are there. Will we be allowed to park at the GF to hang out with them, possibly at the pool but maybe just on the grounds? I would just go through Epcot when we're at BWV and take the monorail, but one member of my party doesn't have a park pass. AT WL I guess we could just take the boat to the Contemporary and get the monorail from there. TIA.

Entirely at the discretion of the gate guard. Parking at resorts to pool hop isn't an explicit benefit (pool hopping = yes, parking = generally no), and GF is one of the resorts that has to enforce parking.

Parking at GF is limited, we often had to use valet just to have a place to park. You could bus to MK then either take the green flag boat or monorail to GF.

You could also walk (or take the boat) from BWV to DHS and catch a bus to the Grand from there.

Yes walking to DHS might be an option - Uber as well, which might be easier. I'll also have to see if the convention family might want to go to Epcot and visit us at Boardwalk since they will have park tickets. We are in our 60's - they are 3, 5, and 30 something:) Thanks for replying!

I have never had an issue with friends parking at my hotel (this was before I bought DVC). My best friend since childhood used to live in Orlando, so whenever we were down, she would come spend the day with me. I would just call down to the front desk and they would take her name and give it to the guard, who would let her in. We did this at Animal Kingdom, Beach Club, Boardwalk (although they ended up having to do valet here since general parking was full) and Polynesian. However, as someone else mentioned Grand Floridian has limited parking, and if I recall, it's not super convenient.

I agree with the others - save yourself time, stress and gas - just uber over.
