Visited posts not highlighted??

OK, I've tried this with Netscape 4.74, 4.79, 6.2, IE 6.0 and Opera 6.0.4. Visited links show up on other sites just fine, I have set the color to red but use site colors if required by the page.
I saw another post suggesting setting style set in cp>edit options to Corey. Mine was set there already, changed to default, same. Also changed VB settings, no luck. I have this problem in all forums, it really makes it tough to browse messages.
Any ideas, anybody?
