Virginia Beach Suggestions

DH and I would like to try a different beach for vacation next summer. We live about 5 hours or so from Virginia Beach and thought we'd give it a try. Neither of us have ever been before so we are clueless as to where to stay. Any suggestions of hotels you've liked and are reasonably priced would be greatly appreciated.
