Well i rang early last week about the facts i hadnt received my travel insurance docs and they hadnt arrived today so i rang the uk office again only to get put on to india grr the woman didn't sound like she knew what she was talking about she said they would send the travel insurance docs out so i complained how i had already been told that and still not received anything, i also said about the car but was told that the policy documents we receive from dollor does anyone know if this is true as i dont want problems when i get there. We got their fully inclusive policy surely we should receive policy docs for the car as well before we travel. I feel like i wont be booking direct with Virgin again.

I questioned this for our booking with our travel agent last weekend, as we realised that we had not got the travel insurance docs. We were told that this would arrive with our tickets. TA phoned this morning to say tickets had arrived (:yay: ) but that there was no sign of the travel insurance still. Would have thought it made sense to send it all together......?

Virgin are bugging me because you seem to be told something different every time you speak to them and they dont seem to know what they are talking about. Every other 8 times i have been to florida with parents we have never had this problem and insurance usually comes a lot earlier. I really dont get why dollor will have our car insurance docs for us there when we booked fully inclusive insurance with virgin.

Assume you are talking about VH not VA.

The Insurance for the car although booked with VH is actually with Dollar and your rental voucher (that you get with your other VH docs) should mention it.

I havent used VH for a while now (having used them for years) and find that doing it all myself was easier, cheaper, more flexible and also fun to do. :thumbsup2

I wanted to do it myself to i used to want to be a travel agent so know how to do it all but mum said that being my first holiday without her i should do a package holiday mainly because of the car insurance and how they usually only offer basic third party at the US car places.

The Dollar.co.uk site (amongst others) offers full cover packages for USA car hire so it isnt really a problem getting the cover doing it yourself and of course there are many other options.
