I have purchased a full fare UC ticket for me and my familiy through Virgin Holidays (not paid for the lounge pass) so everything is included, or do I pay an additional fee as Ibooked with VH not VA direct?

Doesn't need to be a "full fare ticket" - any UC ticket (full fare/discounted/award) has access to the clubhouse and arrivals lounge. Whether you buy it direct through Virgin Atlantic, through Virgin Holidays, through Expedia, through Airline Network or anyone else... :)

If you 'pay' for lounge access via Virgin Holidays (as opposed to the 'free' access which comes with your full fare UC ticket), treatments aren't included, although I've never had any problems getting them. I guess it depends on how busy they are. Once you're in the lounge, they never ask to see your boarding pass, so, in theory, the beauty therapists would have no idea whether you were a bone-fide UC passenger or a hanger-on (;)), but my guess is that all the staff talk to one another and I'm sure they know precisedly who's who. We've never paid for an Upper Class ticket, but whenever we've paid for access to the lounge, or received free upgrades onboard, we've been treated respectfully. Likewise, we've always treated the staff with respect. I suspect if you start making demands, they might be less than accommodating. I know I would.

Deb we had to show our boarding pass and it was no problem and they were quite booked up. I have read somewhere that it does include treatments you just can't pre book so take pot luck.

Deb just found on the VH website treatments are included and you can prebook, looks like a recent addition :)

Clubhouse, click on the Cowshed for more details.

I have to say, that I am not enamoured that VH give away access to the Clubhouses from £35.

They really should only be giving access to the other lounges available at Gatwick, Manchester and Heathrow.

Oh and the cowshed is only at Heathroaw, the beauty area at Gatwick is V-Touch salon, smaller but to my mind a better experiance than the new larger Cowshed at LHR.

The view from the clubhouse is not exciting though

For 2007 bookings VH are including Clubhouse for Gatwick departures if travelling PE. They did this in 2002 as well.

That's cool. Pays to keep abreast of it all - they seem to change their minds frequently!
