They used to send them about 2 weeks before departure and they still state that they do so, but just going by recent posts on here with people mentioning that the red envelope had arrived, it seems like they are sending them slightly earlier at present.

What will you be doing in exactly four weeks this time? I know what you mean. There is something about being able to touch the paperwork that makes it sooooo real! I always 'read' them over and over again when I get them; once to check all the details are correct and the other 100 times just because...... well I LIKE to 'read' them
my friend booked with virgin, she leaves on 17th sept and got her tickets yesterday! i leave on 14th (with TC ) and got mine last thursday... have read them over & over again

Is it a girly thing? When I go shopping, as soon as I get home I take everything out of the bags and set it out nicely so I can look at it (read: admire it) So the fact that my (rather costly) purchase happens to turn up initially in the form of text on paper makes no difference to my response whatsoever! And when I am reading my purchases, albeit for the 57th time, I get sooooo annoyed if I am interrupted by a phone call, someone at the door or whatever ..... I mean don't these people know how important this stuff is?!?!?
