Virgin Flying Club - 50% bonus miles with Tesco Clubcard

Just had an email from Virgin Flying Club about a 50% bonus miles offer with Tesco.

Between 1 January and 5 March 2013, you’ll receive 50% more miles when your Tesco Clubcard points are automatically converted into Flying Club miles.

This means each £2.50 Tesco Clubcard voucher will turn into 937 Flying Club Miles instead of 625 miles.

Also for those not enrolled there's 1,000 bonus miles if you choose to Auto-Opt-In your Clubcard points into Flying Club miles before 5 March 2013.

And the 25% off Reward Seat Sale ends 5th Feb.

Yes I got that email too. Every little counts, as they say! Mind you I have given up on Tesco's recently and hopped across to Sainsburys..so not too many rewards on there way to me..

Very strange, I didn't get that email from virgin but that might be because I don't convert my tesco points into virgin miles.

Yes, the email seems to have been sent to those Flying Club members who are already in the Tesco's programme but you are right they should be markeing this to all their members.

Don't forget the 1,000 bonus miles if you do sign up and once you receive them you could always change back and I think you can do that on line at your Tesco's account through 'My Preferences' and unclick the box once they're in your account.

TBH as long as I get the extra 50% of miles I guess I should worry whether I get the email or not

Have you looked at your Tesco's on line account recently and checked under My Account' and 'My Preferences' that the Virgin Atlantic box is still clicked?

I save my Tesco points and recieve them annually usually at Xmas we buy evertything from Tesco as we have a store round the corner from us. I havent converted mine to VA points did look into it but wasnt convienced it was worth it when purchasing flights??? Has any one whose used the points actually got some decent flights ???

Is it worth me doing ?? We are going back to WDW SEptember 2014 plan to stay onsite
