Virgin flight prices in May

We are looking to book for next year and just wondered what kind of prices people paid for May of this year, with Virgin, to give us a rough idea for 2015.

I paid £1,800 for two adult PE seats return on Virgin. Manchester to Orlando international.

I'm never sure when to book, we are thinking of going in June next year and looked at Virgin prices for this year and it is 474 which is a bargain but I'm not sure id have the nerve to leave it till 4 weeks before departure

We booked with Virgin, leaving 20th May from Manchester. 4 adults and 2 kids for £3200 booked in September. We had no choice when to book because if we needed to get it booked before the official school letter about holiday fines arrived. Our head teacher gave us the hint . Until recently I haven't tracked it cheaper.

Thanks, it did give me an indication of prices. I want to try and fly with Virgin as I am a terrible flyer, so indirect is definitely not an option. We have priced up a deal with TCD, with flights not too bad when breaking price down, never booked with TCD before though, I wonder if they are any better now they are part of Virgin...

Consider ba we were set to fly with virgin as that's who we always fly with but ba prices were unbeatable, we were brave and waited till last minute 4weeks b4 departure. We got flights for 2 adults 2kids with SUV car hire with additional driver for £2277

Can I ask. Did you book those with Virgin Holidays? I've not seen VA flights come out more than 11 months in advance?

Was that booked through a TA or directly with VA? May flight prices won't show until June if I remember rightly, at 11 months out - unless things have changed...

We are going may 16th 2015 and going in last year they had a sale september but prices were around £550 m+m in november as well. Im not booking till around september time and my budget is £550 so im going to wait.

Honestly, for direct flights with VA, even in May you are hoping for a mega sale or a lovely glitch. Where are you wanting to fly from?

The quote I got today was £2156 Lee going 26th-may to 9th june 2014 that was through orbitz though. VA direct was over £400 more. This was for 2 adults and 2 kids so just under £550 each. This close to the date you would think they would be no seats but orbitz showing both flights . The earlier flight being $300 more for some reason. May have been a glitch .

A few of the people on this thread seem to have got their flights for around 550, hopefully we will be lucky, I'll have to keep an eye on this years prices and see when the sales are.
Does anyone know if miles + money gives you much discount?
