Hi....we're flying to MAN tomorrow (from GLA), staying overnight, and flying on the 10.25 VS flight to MCO on Saturday.
I'm going to try to check us and our luggage right through from GLA to MCO when we check in with bmi at GLA tomorrow evening. I don';t hold out much hope of success as, although the break at MAN is not a stopover (its less than 24 hours) a bmi Manager told me in April that this was currently not allowed, "for security reasons".
So, on the basis that we're checking in at MAN on Saturday, I see VS recommend arriving at the airport 3 hours before the flight
On holiday we normally fly bmi from GLA, connecting down south, and check in rarely much more than an hour before departure. Our DS (8) and DD (11) might become a bit of a handfull if we've got nearly 3 hours to kick our heels. Can anyone who has flown this route advise if they've had any difficulty checking in 2 hours or less before take off. FWIW we have assigned seats (I know that's not a guarantee) and the flight is not full.
Thanks.
Alex
