Virgin Australia happy hour sale-super cheap LA fares

Times like this make me wish I didn't have kids! School holiday fares suck big time.
Has anyone left in Dec and roughly how much were fares?
This is 2nd time VA have had a sale for Nov/Dec.
I will see how much the fare is in. Jan for next Dec, as I have been keeping watch on this years prices.
Hate the thought of booking something so far in advance and then they have one of these.

Yes, I hate school holiday airfares too. I only gave in just this year to go school holidays. First year in high school.
Every other year we've taken the kids out of school.
So tempted to going back to taking them out again!

Don't let the happy hour fares suck you in... We booked our fares in February this year with VA for departure October 25th for 3 adults and two kids we came in around the $5000 mark! But yes we are taking the kids out of school to go
