Just read Sky news.
A fighter escort to a Virgin Atlantic plane that mistakenly sent out hijack alarm.
Interesting (not) start to a holiday :guilty:

Just got on t'internet and picked this up. Aparently Squawked (Radar Signature) the incorrect code 7500 for a hijack instead of 7600 for Need to Fix (Malfunction)

It was routed to Canada as there are less targets, it then started to become apparent it wasnt as first thought.

Mmmm someone's going to get a bit of a telling off for that :guilty:

Bet the pilot/co-pilot are a tad embarrassed! Wouldnt like to be in their locker room once all the other pilots start taking the mickey!

I am quite a nervous flyer but listening and watching the people from airliners.net you sort of get an injection of confidence regarding things like this. Give the site a Visit
