Contacted virgin Atlantic on facebook response was cancelled
Contacted virgin Atlantic on the phone and live chat on virgin Atlantic website they said it was still active

Date? Time? Flight numbers? It's possible the flight is sold out. That could be a reason it doesn't show up on their website or Google flights.

I would be a little concerned about the FB response saying the flight is cancelled. Did you ask during the phone/chat call about being told on FB that it was cancelled?

Since your booking is saying everything is still good, I wouldn't be too worried.

Yes I did explain to virgin Atlantic on the live chat and the phone that I had a reply saying it's been cancelled on Facebook they said for enquiries, worries or concerns about upcoming bookings is to speak on live chat or the phone not social media as social media is not secure.

If you post your flight info people might be able to check it.

Flights can dissappear from some sites when seats aren't available for purchase. The flight might be fully booked. Booking may be temporarily suspended due to scheduling issues such as change of equipment.

This would be my guess. It's not unheard of for airlines to freeze inventory while working through a schedule change, equipment change or anything else. It may not even affect your flight, but they freeze your flight to accomodate those they can from other flights. It's worth calling in with your concerns if it isn't cleared up by Tuesday. Posting the flight number and date would make it easier for anyone to help you with your specific flight info. Some have access to other tools that offer additional information.

Thank you for all of your advice I spoke to Virgin Atlantic again and explained to them that on facebook they told me it was cancelled. Apparently it was briefly cancelled whilst only when they were changing the aircraft until everyone was given new seats and the flight is fully booked and it's going ahead which is great news. I went back to Virgin Atlantic Facebook page to tell them I spoken to customer services on the phone and live chat and it's going ahead and they said sorry for the confusion if the flight does get cancelled at anytime they automatically put you on another flight.

Maybe you could check on live departures on airport website where you are flying from Heathrow, Manchester and Edinburgh airports and check on flight status page on Virgin Atlantic website you can also check on flight sales page too only if it's not fully booked.
