Hi guys
We are flying from Manchester to Orlando in Dec and have just had our plane changed from an airbus to a Boeing.....which is fine as long as it is a refitted one!!! Has anyone flown from Manchester recently on a 747 and was it with the new seats and entertainment system? Fingers crossed!
Debsx;)

Hi Debs
Got home yesterday, returning on Virgin 747 (HOT LIPS)
The has the new seat configuration with PE and Economy in thE bubble
The seats in PE were touch screens with Phono and USB sockets, together with video on demand :)
It was the same system we had on the A330 Airbus on the outbound journey.

:hug:That is good news! All the benefits of the bubble plus the new seats and entertainment! Perfect!!
Fingers crossed we get a refurbed boeing in dec! Is Upper Class still downstairs at the front?

The fleet is shared between LGW & MAN. By December you should have a 6 out of 8 chance of getting a refitted plane.

The 7 that are being refitted should be completed by the end of December plus the plane that is not being refitted is looks to be leaving the fleet early January.

We were ale to prebook this week for our nov 1st flight and the seat maps are the old one with just pe upstairs :-(

We are flying out of gatwick on 12th October - how can I tell if we have a refitted plane - it definitely looks to be a 747 as the seat configuration is 4-3-4???

You will not know if you have a refitted plane until OLCI opens 24 hours before the flight or occasionally shortly before. Up to that point all 747 flights will show the old seat maps.

We are booked for October 2nd on an A330, is this likely to change do you think? We have had our seats booked for ages now.
Also, is there much of a difference?
