VIP Ride on Soarin'

I saw a dream yesterday at Epcot, but I still can't figure out what it was! We were in the FP line for Soarin', and a family a couple groups in front of us was in the line with a plaid VIP person. As we were waiting to board by the doors, one of the CMs said "This is the Smith family (or whatever their names were), and they're getting a VIP ride. Give them a hand!" They didn't ride alone or anything...we rode the same ride cycle as they did, and all of the rows were full. So anyone know exactly what a VIP ride on Soarin' is? Does Patrick Warburton serve them peanuts and soda or something?

In April I had a private Future World tour. The CM & I went in through the backdoor and onto the Soarin ride.
It wasnt suppose to be a private tour but noone else had signed up!

That might be what it was since they were in the center section...couldn't see what row they were in since we were on the left.

Oddly, after riding it too many times to count (it is my favorite WDW ride), I've discovered that I prefer the middle center. At the top, I can see the top curve of the screen when it tilts up. I'd rather see the feet dangling than the edges of the screen. My husband is a middle/top diehard tho'.

We were the Family of the Hour on Soarin' when we went last December. We were about to get Fast Passes when a CM came up to us and asked, "How would you like to go on Soarin' right now without waiting?" Of course we said, YES!" She took us outside, in back of the building, to bypass the entire line. We were introduced just like you described. We got to sit in the middle section/front row and then got a Dreams Certificate. It was fun!

DD and I got picked one night. It was funny because we had fast passes and the CM would not let us enter. She kept saying that we needed to go over to another CM. I kept saying no I have fast passes! Well on my third no my DD grabbed my arm and pulled me to the area where they told us to go.

There was a CM there and eventually 6 other people. No one would tell us what was going on. I was freaking out because I had 1 beer earlier and I normally do not drink. I was paranoid that I was being asked to leave the park for too much giggling!

Well the CM leads us through a door behind the fast pass machines and tells us that we are VIP's. It was neat to be in that area. Part of it is the same area when the green house tour of the Seeds takes you. They led us through a door that took us right into Soarin'. We bypassed all that walking!

They put us front and center on the next show! It was great. We all kept laughing about who in our group was really a movie star and was just hiding it all from the rest of us.

We clapped and cheered when it was over. It was a nice little perk!
