VILLAS AT WILDERNESS LODGE Laundry ???

Hello to all....
I just have 1 question...
Can anyone tell me if the Villas at Wilderness Lodge's Laundry room is free or reduced cost for doing laundry or is it the same price as the other resorts laundry facilities???(seems like OKW was free last time we stayed there????) Thanks so much for any help you can give!!!

The laundry is free, just like at the other resorts. It's on the first floor, in the hall that's the closest to the main building.

If you are staying in a 1br or 2br villa then the W/D are located inside your villa.

I can't see a deluxe hotel guest schlepping through the main lobby with a bunch of laundry to get to the villas. Too far.

I don't know, I've seen plenty of stanger things happen at Deluxe hotels, so one never really knows. I would hope they wouldn't go schlepping.

If they do, they've got more energy than what I've got. I could just see a pair of my husband's old underwear dropping on the floor of the main lodge. Not a pretty picture.

Just make sure you have your room key, with "member" on it, so when security stops by on their rounds you don't have a problem. The machines have slots for quarters, but you don't need to use any, just push in as if you put money in.

We probably would have just thought we were required to put our quarters in and paid for "free" laundry service (yes I am a DVC owner at VWL). I kept "assuming" that if we didn't get anything other than a studio we were just going to have to live with paying for our laundry service. This is cool to know **haven't stayed at my home resort yet**.

I hate to say it, but I've seen advice on the Budget Board advising people about this "free" service that the non-DVC resort people can use.


It's really bad when the FW people come over and swim while they're doing their laundry...that's the pits!

DARN!!!! I just got back from staying at the VWL last week and used the laundry there. (the dryer in the room was taking toooooo Looooong). I actually got change and put 8 quarters in the slot to start the dryer!!! They certainly don't advertise that the machines are free. I guess the mouse got me this time.
