Villamoura info

DW and I are taking advantage of the kids school trip next week to nip away to Villamoura for a week.
How we'll cope I just don't know

We're close to the harbour area.

Any recommendations for places to eat and drink warmly received.

We went to Vilamoura back in 1983 when they were still building much of the surrounding area. We loved the area around the marina back then and enjoyed some great meals in the restaurants - we also had a fab meal on an old boat that was moored there

In 2002 we had the chance to re-visit for a short period of time and were pleased to see the marina was as lovely as ever. From what I remember you won't be short of great places to eat and drink

Not been personally but my DH went about 18 months ago and he said that all the bars/restaurants in the port/marina area were good.

We have been to Villamoura twice in the last few years, lovely place. Where are you staying? We were at the Vila Gale Marina, just off the side of the marina. We ate at a great Indian restaurant, it's off the side of the quay, but neither DH or I can remember it's name now. There is also a Pizza Hut down by the marina, various Italian and traditional Portugese restaurants too. There is a FABULOUS ice cream parlour on the marina too which is WELL WORTH a visit!
