VILLAINS, ALIENS AND ALCOHOL, A JAN. 2016 TR W/ CLUB VILLAIN REVIEW *Final Update 3/27 *

I just finished your report. I enjoyed it very much. Thank you for taking time to share your trip with us! I love your purse---- if you don't mind my asking, how much was it? I have a Coach that is getting a little old and I'm looking to replace. Yours is super cute!

We will be there in just under eight weeks! I showed DD your Citricos review, but she said the food looked too fancy for her, lol.

Thank you for reading and I'm glad you enjoyed :goodvibes Is it the Princess purse or HM one lol? The HM one was $188 - not bad for a Disney Dooney really! The Runway Princess was closer to $300, I think just under. We looked for it in the parks on 2 trips but every store was sold out as was the Disney store online, so I started looking on Ebay - it was going for close to $500 :scared1: Finally it came back in stock on line or I wouldn't have it!

Yes, the food at Citricos is definitely "fancier" than the non-signatures, so I don't blame your DD for not wanting to try it. We took our boys to Narcoossee's last Nov. and I was a little unsure how my older one would do, since he's on the picky side. But he ended up loving it as did Chris and now they're both wanting to go back this Nov. But I want that Citricos salad again!

Enjoy your upcoming trip pixiedust: I hope it's perfect!

Wow! That's not a bad price for the HM purse! I could HOPE they have them in stock when we're there.....or I could go ahead and order it now. Time to start buttering up DH, lol.

Thank you so much for sharing your trip. Congratulations on your first completed trip report. I don't think I'll ever get there!

My two would never let me go to Disney without them. It looked like a fun time.

I loved your view from your room at AKL. What a great review of Club Villain - yours was the first review I read for it and it looked so good.

I agree with Steve on the breakfast menu from BOG. Far too many egg options for my liking! I can't believe that they didn't give him an adult portion of the French toast particularly given the price you paid.

I have only been on Stitch once - back in 2008. We actually were given Dream Fast Passes just after being on it and that is the only one that was unused. I believe Alan and Peter went back on last trip. Peter felt it wasn't as bad as when he was traumatised as a 3 year old.

Still following along on your other trip report - looking forward to more TRs in the future.

Thank you for following along for it all :) I'm still reading yours, too! Your trip was longer than ours, I'm sure you'll finish lol!

It's funny because I thought quite a few people would do TR's including reviews of Club Villain, even if they didn't do whole TR's but just a short one of that. But I haven't seen any but mine! I've read lots of quick reviews though and it appears everyone's had a great time as we did :goodvibes I'm so glad they keep extending month by month; now if they'd just make it a permanent event!

LOL! I'm glad Peter is no longer traumatized! Luckily Chris hasn't mentioned going on it in any of the recent conversations we've had about our trip this November......I'm really not game to ride again!
Still following along on your other trip report - looking forward to more TRs in the future
Awesome, thank you again  I actually just started a PTR for our Nov. trip........once you get going on these things it's addicting!

You have more confidence than me. I'm only on day 3 of a 2 week trip. A bit of a marathon! If I have a few people like you cheering me on I just might get over the finish line!

I've followed the link and watched the thread. November - you are keen! Looking forward to reading it!

I read through the whole report and wanted to tell you thanks for the great Club Villain review... It inspired me to make my own reservations for next month :) Can't wait!

Glad you had a fun trip and loved the report!

That is so awesome :goodvibes I'm glad I could help you make your decision! And I hope you enjoy CV as much as we did. I'm sure you will, I haven't read one review from someone NOT loving it! There's a thread on the Theme Parks Forum that people who are attending/have attended regularly post on if you want to take a look :) It's easy to find; simply titled "Club Villain" lol.

Thank you for reading and have a GREAT time next month pixiedust:

Got all of this one read! Only took a few days so I'll start the other one! Don't recall too much enough to comment on except great meals! I'd love an adults only trip. I've been hoping for one in October (my bday is Oct 29) for MNSSHP and F&W. I've done Sept before (a few times) and beginning of Oct but never closer to the end and never with my hubby. If I can finagle a DVC membership, then it's on!

I do remember your GA comments. I'm a native Georgian and OMG, yes...I cannot stand freezing cold weather (like below 50...haha). Also I don't do cooked carrots either. Raw, fine...cooked, yuck.

Ok, onto the Nov TR....

I'm very impressed (and thankful!) that you've taken the time to read this through AND start my Nov. one, while keeping up on your PTR as well as others AND I assume, look after your children lol :rotfl2: Yes, our adults only trips are awesome! We haven't really talked about when our next one is but I'm hoping sometime next year. We've been as a family for my birthday-well, we left Feb. 18th and I'm the 20th, so close enough - but going again with just Steve for my bday would be nice. I'd also like to do F&W with him or better yet him and friends, but it's a tough time of year with the kids b/c it's right in the middle of basketball season.

My mom went down to Ga. yesterday to visit my sister. She just texted a picture of her with my 3 nephews at the lacrosse field and they all have sweatshirts on! She said it's in the low 60's which is exactly what it is here in NY today, but my boys are in shorts, I'm in jeans and a T-shirt and I had the a/c blasting in the car. We're also fine going outside without a jacket if it's in the high 40's, which we consider "cold-ish" but I guess you'd be in a down coat with a blanket wrapped around you just walking to the mailbox ::yes:: I think it's funny at Disney when on the same day, you see some people in shorts while others are bundled up. The days in Jan. that Steve and I kept our winter coats on there were plenty of people walking around in shorts and t-shirts who didn't look chilly at all and I was like, "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU????" But one thing is for sure, 40 is a hell of a lot colder in Fla. than NY!
See you over on the various other reports we're reading/writing together :)

I'm kind of weird in the fact that I don't wear a coat unless I absolutely have to. I never wear a coat in my car and I don't put one in to run into work or the store or whatever. People around here think I'm crazy but it's more to do with I hate the bulk! And I'm not outside very much in the winter...lol. I'm not sure where your sister lives but it's 80's here, so we are in shorts. We get wild swings at night and in the morning though so maybe that's when it was? I would never wear a sweatshirt in 60 degree weather but again, I can't take the bulk! My DH wears shorts like every day he can, even winter, but he'll just pair them with sweatshirt in the winter..lol. I hate winter though and any type of cold weather. I'm so glad I live in the South!

Joining in! I will catch up later but wanted to post and say hello. We are playing with the idea of going in January next year (7-13) so I'll get to see how that went for you, although I'm sure around MLK Day will be a bit different crowd-wise. I've never been in January!

Hello there and thanks for reading! This was our first trip in January with the exception of a few days at the end of the month back in 2007. I think you're right that your dates would have a bit lower crowds, but honestly MLK weekend wasn't bad! It was just a tad chilly lol. I'd do it again in a heartbeat though - I'll do an adults only trip during any month :thumbsup2

We were very happy with our room and even happier in the morning when we woke up, looked out the window and saw this:

Hey, that's my pool!!!! Oh, how I miss it and wish I was there right now. I loved this pool. I spent probably about 3-4 hours (maybe more) in that chair closest to the water and to the right of the slide. Seth STAYED on that slide pretty much the entire time we were there and screamed so loud every single time he went down. People were cracking up at him! It's a great memory. :)

Also wish I had one of those Grey Goose slusies right now! The Peach Snap in China is my favorite but love the France slushies too! And I may have to try those chicken tacos next trip. They looked good!

I'm caught up through your first day at Epcot and can't wait to hear about Club Villain. I'm a villain fan so I'm definitely looking forward to it!

I was in love with that view! I didn't care that it wasn't a Savannah view, that pool view was so relaxing and peaceful :cloud9: I was never much into caring about views until a few years ago when we stayed at BWV for the 2nd time and ended up being able to see high Illuminations from our room. Now it's a little more important to me!

I'm not getting my hopes up TOO high, but I recently (as in this week) read on here that they're holding auditions for Club Villain dancers :dancer:so maybe that means it's coming back in the near future!!! Hope you enjoy reading about our experience there!

I caught your TR way late but I love the Villains and wanted to read about Club Villain. :maleficen I got hooked into reading your whole TR and really enjoyed all of it and looking forward to start reading your PTR for your upcoming November trip. Going to bump over there now. :):surfweb:

CV looks amazing and so glad that they are still doing it. I probably won't be getting back to WDW till Sept 2018 but if it's still running I am absolutely going to do this.

We did go to Disney once in Jan and we will never go again. We were there for the week of MLK in 2014 and it was SO cold, one night it was in the 30s. The kids had their winter jackets because they had them when they got on the plane but I left all my winter gear in the car. We ended up having to buy hats and gloves and I layered up my sweatshirts. Being from NH I am usually okay with the cold but when I go to Disney I want the heat. Also the tour groups and the crowds were more than we expected. So I was having flashbacks of our trip every time you mentioned the weather. :cold::scared:

Anyway I had tons of things I thought of as I was reading your report but I can't remember any of them right now but just wanted to say it looks like you had an amazing time and I really enjoyed reading all about it. Thanks for sharing!!

So glad you found this and enjoyed reading! I was excited when I heard Club Villain was coming back, then bummed when they said Sept/Oct. and of course we went in Aug. and are going in Nov. :sad2: If they happen to extend it into Nov. we may consider booking again; our only hesitation would be the cost for 4 of us as opposed to just 2 like when we went in Jan. But I do think it's 100% worth the price!

I think I wrote this when I responded to your post in my PTR, but Steve brought up going again in Jan. and I told him I really rather not. I know, sounds crazy that I'm saying no to Disney! Except I'm just saying no, let's pick a different month lol. I know Jan. isn't always as cold as when we were there but, I didn't like it. Like you said, being from a colder area I'm ok with cold but in Disney I want to at least not have to wear my freakin' Northface!
Hope to see you over on my PTR whenever I get around to another update :)

Awesome trip report! I just binge-read your trip and absolutely loved it! We're going to be there MLK weekend 2017, good to know about it being chilly! We're from Boston so we're used to the cold but will be sure to pack LAYERS!

Can't wait to hear about the Thanksgiving '17 plans!

Hi there! Thank you for reading my report! I do hope your trip in a few weeks is warmer than ours was, I know it was unseasonably cold when we went so you have a good chance of warmer weather lol.
We had a great trip last month over Thanksgiving week! However there was a bit of.......confusion with the planning beforehand  I do have a TR going and the link is in my signature below-I finally figured out how to add links correctly although not quite correct, because the "update" is still in there!
Happy New Year and thank you again for reading through this one!

Hello! I just discovered your TR, enjoyed reading it! I like your touring style. (And I live in NYC and have relatives in Poughkeepsie...just had to get in another Poughkeepsie reference!) And now I get to go back and read your other TRs...
