Villa suggestions / recommendations

Hi, we are looking to return to Orlando in May 2015 and hire a villa for the first time as we will be travelling with our (then) 18 month old son so would like the space of a villa and private pool.

On previous trips we have always stayed in either hotels or condos with shared pools such as Bahama Bay or Tuscana. We liked the area around Bahama Bay because of the nearby restaurants on the 192 and the nearby publix at berry town centre so we would like a villa community in this area ideally. I have looked at villas in Hampton Lakes and Highland Reserves so far - any thoughts or opinions on these communities or suggestions or where else I can look?

We also like this area and have stayed on most estates along there

I would recommend "Highgate Park" on Legacy Park or Tuscan Ridge as both of these estates are gated communities.

have a look at sunset lakes really nice community and lovely villa
we stayed at a nice villa here and would recommend the villa.

Another few Communities to try ,

Solana , Hampton Lakes , Highlands Reserve , All along Hwy 27

And between Hwy 192 & I 4 ( eye four ) . This will give an easy access to Any Theme Park Just go to I4 or 192

Your best bet is to try for a 3 bed Villa as there are very few 2 bed

except in a Condo .

We are staying at Calabay Parc in August and the owners are on the DIS, got a really good deal for mentioning we were recommended from here

It's a 4 bed and we are paying less than £500 p/w for August! If you are interested I can PM you the details

Personally I find a number of these a little too far away from the magic. I myself would feel less inclined to return to the villa for a break etc. We find that villa locations around the Formosa Gardens area off the 192 are so much closer, between 8 - 15 minutes to any of the parks, and there are several excellent ones to choose from, both gated and ungated. If you are interested, a decent owners website is VRBO and locations Kissimmee Central West being the area. We have used this site frequently when stuck, even if just to make an initial contact, and never been disappointed.

For a balance between the distance of Highlands Reserve and cost of Formosa Area, we've stayed here in the past and have booked it again for this year.

Great owners and fantastic oversized villa, everything you could want and peaceful too plus not a roach to be seen which was a first!

Westside off the 192 is well located between Famosa Gardens and the US27 - Try searching Tuscany or Calabria on ownersdirect website - lovely new villas in a nice quiet area and at a good price ........ We've stayed there twice.

Quick question is Tuscan hills the same as Tuscany or are they different areas?!

No completely different ..... As you head along the 192 towards the US27 there's a Racetrack petrol station on your left hand side then a turning left just after that into Westside, Tuscany and Calabria are a little up on the right hand side.
