My parents just told us that they are taking the family to WDW nest Dec!! Yeah!!! They want all of us (6 adults, 9 year old and 3 year old) to stay in a condo type setting. I suggested renting a pool house but my mom wants us to stay on the grounds. I have stayed at few of the resorts but not with this many people. Any ideas?

You can book a villa with the Disney Vacation club. The 2 bedroom sleeps 8. Go to the list of forums, scoll down past all the Disney World topics; theme park, resorts, restaurants, etc. Further down you will see 4 topics about the DVC, including how to rent points from owners. This will save you lots of money over booking from disney directly. However, you can do that, also. I believe you qualify for a Grand Gatherings, think it's 8 or more. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

All the DVC resorts will fit 8 in their 2 bedroom resorts. All of them are nice, and some aren't as crowded or hard to get into as say Wilderness Lodge that is smaller.

A DVC two bedroom sleeps 8. There is a master bedroom with one king sized bed. There is a second bedroom that will either have one queen sized bed and one double sleeper sofa OR two queen sized beds. There is a queen sized sleeper sofa in the living room.

There are also three bedroom villas, but you'll need to be a DVC member to get one of those because they are limited in number. You could also get two rooms at a deluxe or moderate resort and see if you can get them connected.

We would need at least a 3 bedroom (4 would be perfect) as we have three coulpes and 2 kids. Where can we rent a 3-4 bedroom?

As noted above the 3br rooms are at the DVC resort exclusively. They are VERY hard for non-DVC members to book, also VERY expensive ($1200 - $2500 per night depending on resort and season). There aren't any 4 bedroom units on WDW property, you need to go off site for something that large.

Maybe look into renting points from a DVC member. Last year we got a 2 bedroom at the Beach Club for what it would have cost for 2 moderate rooms. I'm not sure, but maybe you could rent enough points from one member to get 2 2-bedroom villas? It costs a lot less to rent points than it is to pay the normal guest price.

If you decide to rent a reservation from a DVC member, you will need a single member to reserve both rooms for you. It will be difficult to link two unrelated related reservations to attempt to get them close to each other.

Renting a reservation will require you to find a DVC member now so that they can make the reservation exactly at 11 months out. Dec is a very popular time with DVC members and it books up quickly. The member will determine the cost for the reservation and any cancellation or change policy. You are not making a reservation with Disney but with an individual, so Disney will not get involved if you have any problems with the reservation or the member.

The member will fully control the reservation until the moment you check in. You will not be able to contact Member Services for any reason, like to add Disney Dining (the member will need to do that), Magical Express (again the member will need to do that) or make requests. There is no guarantee that the two villas will be close to each other. That would only be a request.

Good luck with planning your trip.

This is not a Disney-run property... but there is a condo "onsite" -- Bonnet Creek. I have not stayed, but I have seen mention of it on the "Orlando Hotel and Attraction" board. You may want to do a search there, and pose questions. I'm not sure how easy it is for a non-member to book, but you would definitely have the accomodations you are looking for.

You could also rent a 1 bedroom for the kitchen area and then a few studios (not necessarily connecting). Sometimes too much togetherness is NOT a good thing.
