I definitely agree with day 1 - looks just like mine always does! I admire the stamina of those who can go out on the first evening.

Looks as though you've got a nice balance between parks and rest days. Just a couple of observations:

Is Garden Grill open again for breakfast? I'm sure it has been closed for breakfast for some time.

Have you been to Prime Time Cafe and Mama Melrose's before? I can eat for England, but I'm not sure I could cope with meals at both in one day.

You haven't included any restaurants for your days at Universal or IoA. Is that because you don't need to make PSs? There is so much choice at USF now with CityWalk and the onsite resorts. Wouldn't want you to miss out on some fantastic dining experiences.

All looks pretty good. Have you been to DQ before? It's really more than just an afternoons entertainment, IMHO. I'm not sure you'd have the chance to do it justice if you're swimming in the morning and looking to rush off for a dinner resservation in the evening. The counter service food in DQ was pretty good so that may be an option to leave the food "open ended" if you want to stay at DQ later then you can eat inside DQ, if you find you've had enough there you can wander off to DTD and eat in one of the available restaurants there.

Jane and I like to park hop if we can, with a midday rest/swim to give us a bit of break from the heat and humidity. We find spending all day at a single park to be a bit tiring, especially if we do it several days in succession. If you or the kids find that the whether in August is a bit energy sapping perhaps you could build a few more midday breaks into the plan, allowing you the opportunity to chop and change which parks you visit in the afternoon/evening.

Regards

Rob

Great feedback!!

Debbie - I had no idea GG was closed for breakfast, I'm gutted. We loved that last time...ah well back to the drawing board for a character breakfast then.

You are also probably right re the 2 big meals...my Mum always said my eyes were bigger then my belly:rolleyes:

Re the meals at US and IOA, they are blank as I don't really know any restuaurants there apart from Hard Rock, which we enjoyed last visit - any suggestions??

Vernon - No this would be our first visit to DQ, but you make a great point. I think we'll scrap the PS for that night and eat at The Cheescake Factory. I've heard great things about it, and I could live on Chessecake!!!!

Rob - we are leaving that as an option to be honest. Our villa isn't too far away to make midday breaks impossible, I'm just worried that if the kids get in the pool, we'll never get them out again. Exhaustion may kick in though, and then we'll definitely do the sensible thing and retire to the pool!!!:p

Good job I posted this then:D

Thanks everyone

Looks like you've got a full calender there, maybe too full. On the first day you'll all be up really early, but in my opinion the kids will be too exhausted to appreciate the evening entertainment for the first few days. I've also got 2 daughters, 6 and 10, so I speak from experience.

Anyway in no particular order;

1st day at Magic Kingdom - Got to be hasn't it.
Rainforest Cafe - Don't bother (contraversial I know but I've posted other messages about this place).
IOA and Seaworld, there's water play areas so you might want to take swimwear for the kids.
Prime Time Cafe - Absolutely fantastic. The kids will love it too, but prepare to be mildly humiliated.
Get the kids to write some sort of journal. If they won't at least keep a list of the best and worst things about each day.

Only my opinion, but I'd love to see a report on how things went when you get back.

sidb, why do you say that rainforest cafe is contreversial? we visited it twice back in sept 2001 and the frist trip at marketplace went fine but at the ak park resturaunt my 3yo got terrible food poisoning from the kids hotdogs. i would love to hear your views.
thanks
danny:(:smooth:

As I recall SidB and his family found RFC teeth-chatteringly cold due to the air conditioning and, I think, overpriced ...
