Views at OKW...

I am debating my request for near HH. What are the chances for a bad view in a 1 bedroom villa????

Most rooms at OKW have good views: golf course, water/canal, woods.

I guess that depends on you you consider a good view. Mike is right, there really aren't any bad views at OKW. But I wouldn't say there are any outstanding views either. Just nice views of water, woods or golf course.

The only bad view I got was building 28. All we looked at were trees, which made the room dark. Building 29 next to us looked worse, the tree branches were almost on the porch.

We were in a one bedroom in bldg. 11 first floor in January(room 1111) for 12 nights. There was no view as it was completely surrounded by brush right up close to the balcony. We went off property for three weeks then came back to OKW for 3 nights before leaving for home. We were assigned the very same room again. I am hoping to not get it again, although it was close to the HH and main pool.

There are no parking lot/roadway views at OKW. The parking and roads are to the sides of the building where the entrances are, not the views. THe only possible road view is if you get one of the rooms on the back side (buildings 38, 39) where the main road is just beyond the trees, but you have to look through heavy woods to see it.

Room 5616 is a studio with a view of the road, bus stop and airconditioning units. We actually enjoyed watching the comings and goings and the bus noise was minimal. The unit was a lock off so the view from the other section would have been of the woods and possibly also the road.

We were in 5625, the lock-off on the second floor above 5616, and calld our balcony view the "marsh view." It was woods and a bit of the road. I was worried about bus noise, but didn't hear anything in the bedroom. It was convenient both to South Point bus stop and the pool and hot tub.

Next time at OKW I'm going to request a canal view and see what happens.
