Viewing Wishes not from the MK?

Hi everyone, we will be returning from a week on the Disney Magic Dec. 24th. We really don't want to go into the MK for christmas day, just too busy for our liking. I would love to able to see Wishes on christmas day though. Are there any spots you can see them without being in the park? I thought I read that you can see them on the beach of the Poly but do you need to be a guest there? Thanks for your help!!

One of the best spots I've found is from the beach at Poly or on the walkway between the Poly and the GF. You'll get a great view from either.

best spots to watch wishes from a restaurant:
Ohanas @ poly (or if you go early enough you can grab a seat in the tambu lounge)
california grill @ contemporary resort
narcosses @ grand floridian (you can eat inside then walk out to the deck)

outside:
polynesian beach..theres hammocks and swings and it's really romantic
contemporary resort- there's a fourth floor observation deck (this is good if you don't want to eat at cali grill)

Or, if you're staying at a MK resort, book a lagoon view

If we watch from the beach at the Poly, will we hear the music? As well, is there only 1 beach at the Poly just so we are at the right spot? Thanks so much for your help!
