Viewing digital pics on resort TV?

We will be taking our digital camera to WDW for the first time. We do not own a laptop to review our pictures in our room. However, DH has often hooked our camera directly to our TV to preview pics. Does anyone know if the resort TVs (specifically ASMo) have the necessary jacks to do this? It would be greatly helpful in reviewing our pics and deleting unwanted ones to free up space on our memory card.

Thanks so much!

We did connect our Kodak Easy Share to the T.V. in our room at the All-Stars. Very simple to do. Also, hooked the Mini-DV camcorder and watched our vids.

Is the cable you use to connect the camera to the TV the same one you use to connect the camera to your computer, or do you need a different one? thanks.

Hi...we stayed at ASMo and viewed our digital pictures. We don't own a laptop and our digital videocamera doubles as our digital camera (you can take still digital pictures with videocamera). My husband brought the cable we use to hook the video camera to the TV. We used this cable at ASMo between the TV and camcorder....it was a really nice way to end the day!! ::yes::

You will need a cable with the RCA type connectors on one end and the connector for your electronic device on the other. A reputable electronics store should have one. You should first check where you purchased the item.

Hope this helps.

Detail cameras are great because you can take dozens more photos. We now shot about 150 a day. I rarely delete a signal picture because with software like Microsoft's Digital Image suite, you can make bad pictures look good. Their software is amazing and easy to use.

Here is another idea, on Main Street at the photo center, you can take your memory card and have the contents burned to CD-ROM for about $12. After burned to CD-ROM, you can reformat the memory card. Then take the CD-ROM with you back home.

We did this when we filled up our memory card at the park and didn't want to buy another one.

Another option is to buy another memory card before your trip. Sites like Buy.com have excellent prices and memory card prices keep coming down.

We also had a very high end Epson printer and sold it on ebay because the per picture price was about 50 cents counting the ink and paper. Instead, I now use Ophoto.com or snapfish.com where prints are about 15 cents per print plus shipping. If you want instant results, you can get photos printed at Costco and most drugstores today.

MICKPAT - I need to rid my some 5 different memory cards of their contents before our trip & was considering doing it by getting cd's (& some prints) from Snapfish. They seem to be the cheapest - how is there quality???
Thanks!!
Christine

I think SnapFish quality is good, not excellent. My Espon 1280 could print better photos when it worked, but I could only tell because I had the two side by side. My Epson photos are now fading which worries me. I think for the price, you can't go wrong with Snapfish. oPhoto is a little more expensive but I haven't compared the quality. Another option if available to you is Costco. They have newer machines at most locations and good prices.

I think CDs are going to be the best way to share your memories long term vs. handing your kids a shoebox of negatives and faded prints. Personally, I have a copy of every photo on my computer and I have two DVD+R with all my photos. One stored at work and another at home.

Thanks for all of your input! This helps tremendously. We are planning on having pictures put on CD while there. I just wish they offered that service at every park. You'd think with digital photography becoming so popular... But, we only have (2) 128MB and (1) 16MB cards. I think we should buy one more 128 before leaving. I just don't want to be stuck with a full card.

Thanks again!

Both of my digitals included this cable, so you may already have it.

Cheers.
