I never really posted my thoughts on how I felt after our trip to disneyland in November regarding being on my lonesome with my daughter aged 5.
I was reaaaallllyyyy worried about feeling left out of things, feeling uncomfortable when in restaurants but I needn't have done. we did cafe mickeys breakfast and there was a lady on her own with a little girl a bit older than mine and it went fine. The breakfasts in the hotel were fine too.
As for in the parks I put as good a fight up as anyone else making sure my daughter got her fair share of character meets.
I told the check in about my concerns about being placed in a room far away from everything and they put me in a room 2 doors up from the automatic doors near to where they do the character meets in sequoia lodge. It turned out to be very noisy but I did feel safer knowing we weren't far away should we need any help.
So big thumbs up to it being single parent friendly.
