Hi all -

Would anyone like to share their recommendations for videography?

I don't think I've seen brides talking about anyone other than STVS so far. I was more focused on photographers until now, so maybe I just missed your comments on video? :confused3

Are there any other good non-Disney options?

Thanks for your help! :flower3:

Our wedding is in August and we're using Cinema Chic. I wanted a cinematography feel but didn't want to spend a fortune. I liked her sample videos the best of the ones we looked at and I found her prices to be very reasonable for cinematography.

I also wanted to make sure that whoever we hired would be unobtrusive and work well with our photographers since photography is a major focus for me. She had worked a wedding with my photographers and they had enjoyed being around her.

I had looked at Starfruit, STVS, Elegante Films, Seth Cohen, One I Productions, Tin Can Weddings and possibly a few others too.

The Central Florida Knot boards is a good place to get an idea of videographers. A lot of Disney brides use STVS, but there are many other videographers in the area. Good luck in your search, videography was my least favorite thing to research!

I'm in the process of finding one too. Oh and since you are looking for a photgrapher, I'm going to chime in and recommned mine FatCatz Photography. :goodvibes
I remember past brides like Carrie and Caryn used Sage from Starfruit Productions. I've talked with her on the phone and she's lovely. I've also met up with Paul Duhon, who is amazing and was highly recommended by my planner. Also he will be uploading a new website soon. Fri. Nite I'm meeting up with Molly from Cinematique Films who I met at Bridal Showcase at the Buena Vista Palace. I'm really looking forward to meeting her. I'll let you know how things go for me. :thumbsup2

Hi - Thank you both for the leads! I really appreciate the info!

Just curious, do you know if any of these (other than STVS) offer live webcasting. We were really hoping to have that for our grandparents and some family members who wont be able to attend. I looked at a few web sites of those you both listed, but I didnt see it as an option on the ones I checked.

thanks again!!
Leah

I can let you know in a few weeks, but we chose Apex Media. So far they have been great to work for and I really liked their sample work. This was not high on priority list, but more for our grandmother's who couldn't make it. It's only running us about $400 for 2 hours (ceremony only).

WOW that sounds like an amazing deal!! I had never heard of Apex Media till now, but i think we will def be using them at that price! their samples look lovely too! :thumbsup2

We used Visual Effects by Seth. I can't give a review since we did not get our video back yet, but leading up to the wedding and day of he was FANTASTIC. We had him the entire day and only paid $1150!

TRYING TO FIND VIDEOGRAPHER. DISNEY'S A LITTLE STEEP BUT IF WE HAVE TO WE'LL DO IT. ANY SUGGESTIONS OF OUTSIDE CONTRACTORS?

Between 3000.00 and 5000.00. depending on package. It sounds like a lot but i have been a Disney baby all my life and the experiences i have had with Disney you get what you pay for.

Also that price goes toward your minimum expen. also. me and my fiance Aida are have a wishes wedding so that will help meeting our total. We just want to reach our minimum with out haveing to sell body parts on the black market:goodvibes

Hi - thanks for posting this info. We are going to take a look at Seth too, but have been leaning mostly towards STVS.

Has anyone else used Seth for their DFTW?

Its important to us that our videographer be experienced with working with Disney venues, timelines and rules. Stan at STVS is probably the most experienced with Disney, but I'd like to shop around and check out some others.

Is there anyone else who's not been mentioned that we should look at?

thanks for any info you can share!

I looked on the Apex media website and I Don't see a package for about $400. Do they do custom packages? Videography is not a priority on our list either and dont want to spend too much money on it. :goodvibes

Just curious if you met with STVS? A lot of brides seem to hire him without meeting with him. I suggest you meet with him first. I've seen his work and it is great, but when we met with him his attitude really turned us off. Maybe he was having an off day, but WOW is all I can say.

Amanda - thanks for posting this info about Apex! Good luck with them and be sure to report back! :) I'm subscribed to your TR, so if you do vendor reviews there, I'll be reading! popcorn:: :)

Ohh, that's interesting. I did not have the opportunity to meet with Stan when I was in WDW. I've only dealt with him via email and he's been very nice so far. My DF spoke to him on the phone once too and had no complaints.

I just feel like the samples I've seen from his web site were dark and sometimes shaky. The samples from others seem like they use a stedicam and also have a more crisp, clear "movie" look/feel to them.

I'm not sure what to do! :confused3

If anyone can share links to complete wedding videos from Stan or anyone else, I would be very grateful to see some "real" samples, not just their best work that they show on their web sites!

Thanks all!
Leah

Still can't decide if we want videography or not. It's not a priority on our list and really don't want to spend more than $500! :confused3 For those of you who didn't have videography. did you regret it? I have a phone appointment with Stan tonight. Hopefully we can work something out for a good price!! Any other recommendations would be appreciated! Anyone? ;)

You may want to check out Cinemedia. Those guys are incredible!! Here's a clip from a recent Disney wedding they did. vimeo.com/channels/19360.

Their prices are very reasonable for the quality.

We met with Stan in person, and we liked him a lot. :thumbsup2 We saved money by booking a joint package with him and Randy for our wedding in May, and we met both of them in person. We're confident that he will do a great job. :goodvibes

I just wanted to give you an update and that I am planning to use Molly from Cinematique Films. For my fiance and I it came to styling and personality. HTH. :)
