Until COVID-19 hit, the global cruise industry was on course for a record-breaking year. But major coronavirus outbreaks on board ships cost lives, jobs, and damaged the reputation of the fastest-growing sector of the travel industry.

Interesting to watch. I just want to take the materials off the ships in the bone yard and remodel my house with ship materials and their pool and hot tub.

Thanks for posting. My DH works for a convention centre that also does events for cruise ships in town. They have no idea when they will be working again because (again) we can't have gatherings more than 10 people here.

So it's not just the risk on cruise ships that are an issue -- there are lockdowns and other restrictions in many of the ports they would go to.

An interesting video. I would have liked it to be more in depth but still a good watch. Thanks for posting it.

Interviewer "Have you ever shot skeet before"
Dude "Never in my life"
Dude's Wife "And he still hasn't"

This was just funny.

It is going to be rough for cruising at startup, people will be scared. But over time, it will rise back up, but it will not be quick. People have short memories. One of the biggest hurdles is the fact that the CDC seems to hate cruising. I do wonder what the short term effect is going to be on the super big ships though?
