Video Debut of Canadian Lumberjack Show

Great. The show made me throw up a little bit in my mouth........and this comment (lol while drinking) made milk come out my nose!
Disney should hire you and get rid of the lumberjacks. I'd pay to see somebody have milk come out of their nose.

You're welcome.:) With the umbrellas removed,Guests are going to be HOT also-no shade at all! I also wonder when Canadian Holiday Voyageurs perform during Holidays Around the World how that is going to work with their equipment sharing the stage with the Lumberjacks.:)

I am wondering if the Canadian Voyagers are going to be cut as well. Maybe the Lumberjacks will sing for us as they saw.

I'll stop by once to watch it live, but I will not seek it out like I did Off Kilter. No more "HURRY UP!! OFF KILTER IS STARTING!!"

Considering we saw the first day of this show...I'm NOT impressed as a Canadian. The 'host' (for lack of a better term) had a HEAVY SOUTHERN accent. He even refered to himself and the other performers as "good ol southern boys." ***? Disney hired the "Paul Bunyon Lumberjack Show" company....Paul Bunyon is from MINNESOTA! This isn't Canadian at all.

eta: lol apparently the initials for "what the F**K" isn't even allowed. Sorry. ;)

No, it's not Canadian. The gentleman running the show is not Canadian. They operate out of St. Cloud, Florida. That's in Osceola County a bit southwest of WDW. I heard somewhere that the company originated in Wisconsin though.

I did hear that he has actually hired a couple of authentic Canadians. But for the sake of the show I believe they were told that they had to present themselves as Canadian. From the bit of the show I saw they are also working references to things like "Canadian maple syrup" into their act. The host is not a professional actor, so it seems forced when he does that. But then these are third party contractors. Disney didn't write any part of their show. Apparently Disney wasn't at first even aware of exactly how the show would be conducted because for a while they were in "soft opening." That's how much of a hurry they were in to get Off Kilter out of there before the end of the fiscal year and put something else on that stage.

I don't know for sure but I think they just said "let's contract with this local guy who has a lumberjack show and tell him we need about a 15 minute show 6 times a day on this stage, no cussing allowed, and see what we get."

For awhile the guy had a post up on his facebook page saying how thrilled he was to be working with Disney on a "permanent" basis until the post was taken down.

If anyone is going to the OK show tonight,I would love to see a report.

Thanks.:)

Saw them during Food and Wine. While the actual wood carving was impressive, the show was "meh". It's loud and scripted. Sounds like the guys are reading their lines from a book. I wouldn't bother stopping to watch in the future. In fact, I might not even grab the usual beer from the UK kiosk while they are sawing away, because you have to yell your order! Off Kilter, on the other hand, I always made a point to stop and watch (and even dance!) They were fabulous AND Canadian! I guess those were the good old days!

While I agree with your opinions, I need to point out that the guys from OK are not Canadian. But since they play a mean Celtic rock, I won't hold that against them. Bagpipes don't have accents.
