Victoria & Albert's Dress Code Question

For those that have been to Victoria & Alberts I have a dress code question.

I will be wearing a black dress with a hem that hits at the knee. Would it be appropriate to wear bare legs or are stockings more acceptable? Considering it is Florida and very hot, and the fact that my dress is by now means showings lots of leg, my instinct is that it would be acceptable to have bare legs but I felt it best to ask.

Bare legs are fine provided you have shaved them (at least thats my opinion - stubble legs wouldn't be noticed but I feel weird in skirts and stubble)

I've dined at V&A probably around a dozen times - never once have I worn stockings.

Thanks for the quick reply. Oh my goodness yes I meant clean shaven bare legs :lmao: even though stubble may not be noticable I'd feel like it was!

What you described sounds perfect. I have eaten at the Chef's Table and Main Dining Room and didn't wear stockings either time. I hardly ever wear them anymore unless absolutely necessary :) Enjoy, I am envious!

Thanks so much! I figured that it was acceptable but safer to ask others experiences. We are soooo excited to try V&A! The food looks divine :cloud9:

It is a VERY memorable meal. My DH and I still talk about our dinners there and one was 5 yrs ago on our honeymoon and the other was 4 yrs ago on our first anniversary trip :) We have a 2 yr old now so it will be many years before we get back to V & A. For now, we'll have to settle for character meals :goodvibes

I don't wear hose anymore, especially in Florida. I've been to V&A twice and both times I wore dresses similar in length to what you've described ... add a nice pedicure and a pair of high-heeled black sandals and you're ready to go! :thumbsup2

I don't wear hose unless it is absolutely necessary :lmao: and 90 degree weather seems far from necessary to me ;)

I got my pedicure this weekend, a must do before every WDW vacation but my manicurist went nuts with the gemstones, I have the "blingiest" toes ever :rotfl: I'll post a pic on my TR.

I can't wait for V&A...I keep looking at reviews and salivating :worship:

You need to take a picture of your pedicure ... I'd love to see what blingie toes look like! :rotfl2:

It is absolutely hilarious, I kinda went like this :scared1: as she kept applying gemstones, but now I love it

Oh and on the topic of V&A, even though I knew to expect it, I still thought it was the coolest thing in the world when they called to confirm my DDad and my allergies!

He is allergic to white flesh fish (halibut, cod, snapper etc..) and mouldy cheese (i.e. blue). We had to stress that he CAN eat tuna, salmon, shrimp, lobster, crab etc.. because he LOVES those seafood items and didn't want to end up with all vegetarian offerings.

I am also allergic to mouldy cheese. Lucky DMom has NO allergies.
