Tell me about Via Napoli..... what have you tried? Was it good? How does the dining plan work there? I'm assuming that if you order pizza you get an individual? popcorn::

hubby & I both had pizza, we liked it. Yes, they take the dining plan, one TS credit each.

The individual pizzas are huge, but if you are on the dining plan, you have to each order your own entree, so no sharing an individual even though they really are too big for most people. If two people on the dining plan want pizza, you'll each order an individual pizza. Or you can share a large (will still cost you one TS credit each...and it's too large for two people, just so you know.)

This is good to know, I am thinking of trying Via Napoli out for our May trip. When we go, my DD7 wants to be in Epcot and have spaghetti for dinner for her b-day. We went to Tuto Italia in September, and even though I don't mind going back, I thought maybe we should try out someplace different. Do you know if they have any sort of pasta dish for kids there to satisfy her craving for spaghetti? I too have heard that the pizzas are amazing there, so I really would like to kill 2 birds with one stone.

Catne: Thanks for the review with pics. I am more sure than ever that I want to try this place out! Especially those desserts! :thumbsup2

We ate here last month and loved it! I had the 4 Cheese pizza and it was fantastic. The personal pizzas are on the larger side and I was unable to eat it all. Of course I wanted to leave room for dessert. I had the vanilla gelato and it was very good. :)

You're very welcome...the problem with the desserts is you're sooooo full before you get to them, lol. But both we had were very good.

Was there last week, not on the Dining Plan. Three adult males each ordered their own pizzas. Two finished and the other came close. The only first course that we had was a house salad prepared "family style" for the table. The pizza was good to very good by normal standards, and very good to excellent by theme park standards. Caveat: I live in and around the (thin crust) pizza epicenter so my standards may be higher than someone in a square flyover state. In New Haven, Brooklyln or New Jersey, this pizza would be considered perfectly acceptable, but wouldn't put anyone else out of business. In the Tidewater Virginia area, where I lived for several years, this would have been the best pizza for miles.

I have heard people complain about the cost. All in, I think we paid about $25 per person. More expensive than a typical pizzeria, but less expensive than most TS restaurants at Disney, which is really what you have to compare it to, since that is where you are at the time. If you are looking for bang for the buck on the DP, this isn't it. If you are looking for a reasonably priced TS meal paying OOP, than this is just fine.

My whole family is on the dining plan. Are you saying that I cannot share my individual pizza with my 5 yr. old? I hope that is not the case.

We ate there last week, not on a plan. The invididual pizzas are very large; both of us just ate half and no room to even think about dessert. I thought the pizza itself was pretty good but I disliked the restaurant; it was beyond noisy.

We just got back ans we loved it. We were not on the DP and so we ordered some apps and pizza. The Arancini (fried saffron rice balls with cheese) was great and the pizza was fantastic. My mother is from Naples and I have spent a lot of time in Italy and the pizza brought tears to my eyes. Now that being said it is different from what most Americans think of as pizza but my husband thought it was good (he's from NY where you do can get good pie) The individual is quite large and could be split by two adults with an average appetite. My one daughter had the ham calazone which was pretty good as well.

Thanks so much! Your review was great! I think I am making the right decision! Got ADR for 7. Do you think we will be out by 9 so we can see Illuminations?

Heck yes. We were out in an hour. Hour fifteen tops. But check in early. With a group of 7, ot may take a while to get seated.

DH and I ate there 5th october and it was ok. I had the rice balls to start and DH had the calamari, they never took our starter plates away before the pizza arrived and that really bugs me.

The pizza was ok but by the time we got to the last slices it was a bit cold and damp in the middle. We shared the large spicey saussage pizza. We did not bother with desert as we had eaten enough. Our total with a glass of wine and a beer was around $90. The waiter was not the most polite and spent ages chatting it up with the table next to us and did not really bother with us all night.

Don't get me wrong the food was not bad but i have had better meals, both service and food.

We ate there last week for lunch last week at it was ok. I had the four cheese pizza and was able to finish it without a problem. My oldest dd (8) ordered the calzone of the children's menu which was served cold in the center. They did a new one. The desserts were really good. I had the pistachio gelato.

Ate there over Columbus Day weekend. I had the Quattro Stagioni, which is a pizza with eggplant, artichokes, prosciutto, mushrooms.

The dough on the pizza was delicious. I loved the mushrooms - very small and tender. The artichokes I didn't really notice, which was a bummer because I love artichokes. I had the same complaint about the eggplant and prosciutto - they put GIANT pieces of both of them on the pizza, so it didn't really stay put. You took one bite and the toppings came right off!

The individual pizzas are big, but without appetizers or anything else I finished one.

The decor at Via Napoli is really lovely and it's a beautiful place to spend a day.

We ate there on Oct. 5th for the first time. We thought the pizza was very good. My DH and I shared the large pizza and it was too much for the 2 of us. It would be fine for 3. (It is advertised for 2-3 people.) My DH did his best, but there were still 2 pieces left at the end of the meal. We both had ice tea and we used the TiW card discount. Our bill was $45 (large pizza, 2 ice-teas, and added gratuity, minus 20% discount). We would do it again. I agree that this place is LOUD. Lots of singing and celebrating going on. I think there was a birthday type song at least 6 times throughout our meal. We got to the point where we would just clap our hands and sing along every few minutes! It was quite amusing.

We had a lousy dinner with friends at Tutto. They just went back without us the other day and called to say that their meal was FANTASTIC. They specifically mentioned how much more they enjoyed the food at Via over Tutto. They were with another couple (both couples in the 65-70 year old range--world travelers). I can't wait to find out just what they ordered!

Read my TR link in my siggy for my review of Via Napoli.

DH hated that they won't build you a pizza to your liking and that you couldn't add anything to a pizza but you could take it off. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and I liked it but Dh thought it tasted it burnt....I think that was in his head.

Also the waiter told me that I had no table credits left...he was wrong as I discovered later and wished I had told him to double check it.
