How does the regular DDP work with pizza's at Via Napoli? I have seen some conflicting reports of what you can get for 1 TS credit? Is it invididual or large? Can you do the create your own and is there a limit on toppings or can you only pick from the already created specialities?

I just booked an ADR for Sept, it wil be our first time at Via Napoli, it was just opening on our last trip and we missed it by a day.
Thanks

As Via Napoli is not owned by Disney, they sometimes tightly control the plan use, in ways you don't see at other Disney restaurants.
For 1 credit, you can get the individual pizza. When I was there, you could get a plain, or get any of the already created specialties. At that time, you couldn't pick your own toppings.
It is my understanding from recent reports -- that for 1 credit now, you can get a plain, or any of the pre-determined specialties. But if you want to add topping on your own, then you need to pay OOP for the toppings.

Yeah, from all reports I've seen, Via Napoli is probably the most restrictive (by a country mile) of all participating restaurants.

As far as pizza goes, as noted above, 1 TS gets you an individual pizza of one of the pre-defined types. It seems likely that they'd let you add toppings to a plain cheese pizza for an OOP surcharge, but I'm not sure I've seen any reports of that actually having been done. 2 adults, pooling their entree entitlements, can combine for a large pizza, and 4 adults can pool for the extra-large (meter) pizza. Same restrictions apply.

Any of the other entrees (pasta, entree salads, calzones, etc.) should be available with your DDP credit.

My understanding is also that some of the beverages like the Italian sodas are not included on DDP or DxDP either.

From reports this is what we have:

1 credit - individual pizza. They won't allow you to order this with credits and share it between two or more people while spending only one credit. Other persons at the table will be asked to order their own meal.

2 credits - large pizza, to be shared by 2 persons. If there is a third person (or more) at the table they will be asked to buy a meal.

4 credits - 1/2 meter pizza, to be shared by 4 persons. Same thing with sharing.

Adult credits only - children's credits can be used only to order from the children's menu.

If you are paying cash and not on DDP you can buy and share whatever you want.

Faldred is also correct about the specialty beverages - they're not included on DDP.
