Personally, haven't eaten at neither restaurant, I'd pick La Hacienda. The Via Napoli time is TOO early. The La Hacienda time will be good for Illuminations viewing. I tend to prefer Mexican food over Italian and I'm a huge pizza snob - I'm hard pressed to find pizza outside of NY that I think is good.

I voted VN...

Let me say since these are new I haven't eaten at either yet...however...we ate at Cantina de San Angel a couple years back and it was the worst meal I've ever had....

Now I realize that was CS...and La Hacienda is new, different etc etc....but that food at the Cantina was so sub-par, comparable, if not worse than Pancho's...in my opinion...and I've read mostly poor reviews about the TS San Angel...that it makes me never want to try Mexican food again in Disney World....which is sad because we've absolutely loved every other dining experience we've had in DW...and Cantina was the only one that we said...never again to.

Also...I haven't read a negative review about VN yet.

Wherever you go...I hope it's fantastic!

We picked Via Napoli for our short trip. I couldn't squeeze them both in. We have been waiting a LONG time for decent pie in WDW.

Given your ressie times tho, I would pick Hacienda. Perfect timing for Wishes! :thumbsup2 4:30 is way too early for us for dinner.

I agree with a PP who said to keep both. You could certainly have a light meal at Via Napoli & then be more than ready for desserts & drinks at Hacienda later.

I just don't have a lot of interest at eating at La Hacienda on vacation b/c where I live we have SO much access to very good, authentic Mexican (multiple regions too), as well as Tex-Mex, that it's not something I feel the need to experience at WDW..

I live in AZ where Mexican food is everywhere. However, most is the typical Sonoran style tacos, chimis, burritos etc. Its quite good here but sometimes I want something thats similar to what I find far further south of the border. San Angel does a decent job and has great atmosphere for dining.

Not sure how better we can clarify it for you :confused3

it is accepting DDP and the website is not up to date

ahhhhh...okay....

my request for clarification was actually posted in another thread...then the thread was moved here...i see a number of people have had the same concern.

but yea...thanks for your input.

WE ate at both VN and LH on the 18th. Both were VERY good but I would go to LH first. I love me those tacos!!!!

thanks for all the input people. i cant believe how close the voting is! right now, i'm leaning more towards hacienda, only because of the access to illuminations. the day i have these reservations, i also have lunch at the yak and yeti at 11:15... thats why we took the early dinner for VNP, becase we know we'll be hungry. now i think the trick will be to end the afternoon at AK. take a break at the hotel. then head over to epcot for some rides and the F&W to snack on... then keep the evening reservation at hacienda.

the only concern, epcot has EMH this night - so, we wont be going on mission to mars after we eat! :)

I picked La ha's since I cannot justify paying that much for pizza:eek::scared1:

See, I look at it differently. I've seen photos of the individual pizzas and they look big enough for 2 people to share with getting a side salad. Unless you share the entrees at LH, you'll be spending more there.

Keep La Hacienda b/c you'll probably have a good seat for viewing Illuminations.

I ate at both last week.

At VN, I don't know if the individual pizzas are big enough for two, depending on how big an eater you have in your group. But two pizzas would almost definitely be big enough to feed three. The pizza I had was tasty - I liked it a lot.

But I would go with La Hacienda. (I have a highly positive thread on the review sub-board.) This is just a personal choice, but I find there are a lot more things on the menu that I would like to try, compared to the number of things at Via that I'm looking forward to.
