VGC std studio in August @ 7 months

So how many people have NOT been able to get a standard studio at VGC for weekday nights at the end of July / early August? We're hoping to get into Aulani for a few nights next summer with a 3 night stop over in CA at DL. Since the weekend points at VGC are so high we would want to stop there during the week when the points are lower. It's sounding like there's a LOT of people hoping to visit Aulani and DL next summer at 7 months so I am concerned we won't be able to get either place. Just wondered how the 7 month booking window worked out for this summer at VGC?!

I think this is very hard to predict. Carsland opens next summer, and it looks absolutely amazing right now in terms of scale. It's totally transforming the park and could easily make the villas very popular over the summer. As of right now, if we're flexible on unit size, we can usually get the days we want at 7 (or even less) months out. We're usually looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom though. The studios seem to go fast.

I was afraid of that. We can't afford the points for a larger unit so I guess if we can't get a studio we'd just go for a std. room at Paradise Pier. Did I read somewhere that they don't charge the $95 fee to go to one of the other properties there??

Don't know about August, but we were able to get a studio for THIS September at the 7 month mark. To do exactly the same thing you want to do next year. DLR + AUL

That is correct. No $95 fee and no rule of 4.

Good. Thanks. Obviously our first choice will be VGC but will have to be open to staying at PP if we can't get a studio at VGC. It seems I've read a ton of posts from others that they're planning to do this exact same split trip in summer 2012. There won't be room for ALL of us!!
