VGC price to increase

After being ROFR'd on our VGC purchase this week, I got a call from my Disney guide asking if my sale went through. When I said no he informed me that I should get on the waitlist to buy direct because Disney is going to raise the price to $130 next week.

Wow, that's a shocker . There must be quite a demand. I think DVC's business model from now on should be small resorts added on to already popular resorts. Thats why I think GF and Poly will become a reality.

I know you are looking for resale, but did you get on the list anyhow? I think it's no obligation. I should think about this , as I need more points at that resort.

We have been looking for a small add on, but they don't seem to exist. This price hike brings up 2 questions for me. First if you are on the wait list do they automatically purchase the points for you when your time comes up, and second do you get the price for when you went on the wait list. I am calling my guide tommorrow no matter what, but curious about these questions.

My guide said to get on the list night before the price goes up, so my guess is you'd still get the $120. We didn't get on the list. We were looking at resale for the lower cost. We're rethinking our options now.

Wow..I say again...when naysayers were saying owning at VGC was no big deal and such, glad I bought when and what I did and glad I jumped on my last add on right before it sold out, paying right around $100..it is the jewel of DVC IMO.

Just got a call from my DVC rep and she said the price for Bay Lake is now $150 per point with zero incentives...

Wow! I thought they just went up to $140 recently, plus incentives.

They must be almost sold-out to have increased the price so quickly !

The rep said they anticipated a sellout by around mid to end of September...

Same here. I'm happy with our points so I can go when I want to go and not have to be "flexible" when using my SSR points.

Same here. We bought at $96/pt direct before it opened, then added on at $82/pt resale right after they sold out ... had been thinking about picking up another small contract in the $80's via resale and guess that's not going to happen now. Just going to have to wait for a DLH DVC.

I know others may disagree but I think you are correct! Of course until we have stayed at all the resorts, it may not be fair to say this. However I think it has special something that can't be denied. Owning here would be awesome

I paid $65 per point so I thought $98 per point was crazy. $150 per point is
