I went to DVCMember.com to see if I can book dinners, and World Of Color dinner/ show reservations. All dinner locations are FLA only. That kinda stinks.
With VGC being so popular, and mostly all booked, I would think we DVC members could at least have a non WDW reservation option.
I didn't look, but is the same true for HH, and VB? No online reservation option for restaurants?

Disneyland does not have an online dining reservation system. So it's not just DVC members left out, it's everyone. DVC does not run the restaurant reservation system and would not have the resources to create one just for members.

There is a World of Color dinner/show?? Tell me more, please?

There are 2 options that each get you a ticket for reserved viewing space for WoC.

Sit down dinner at Ariel's Grotto (no characters) or Wine Country Trattoria, at $36.99 (AG) or $39.99 (WCT) for adults (before DVC discount). Can be booked up to 60 days in advance and are not prepaid (at least not yet; this may change if the no show percentage is high). The ticket is for the "prefered" reserved section at WoC. Available for both first and second show, depending on dining time.

Picnic meals for $14.99 (before AP discount -- doesn't look liek there is a DVC discount). 4 options for adult meals and 3 options for children's meals. Can be ordered online betwen 1 and 30 days in advance for the first show and first come first served day of for the second show. Pick up between 2 and 8in the park. Online orders are prepaid and nonrefundable. Those who have tried the picnic meals have reproted that they were tasty.

There is lots more info on the Disneyland board. -- Suzanne

Just wanted to add one more thing: The price for the prix fixe dinners does not include tax or tip. However, the picnics are sold online as if they are tickets, and thus no tax is added. I would assume if you buy a picnic on a walk up basis at the park it will be taxed like any other counter service meal and tax will be added. I think the OC tax is 8.75%, so it does add up. -- Suzanne

Thanks for the update, Suzanne. I scored a reservation at AG, patio dining for 5:20p with tickets for preferred viewing WOC 9PM show. Even with tax and tip added -- we'll remain way below our usual dinner choices at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen.

We had planned to see Toy Story 3 at the El Cap ... but didn't particularly relish the drive into Hollywood. Found a night on "bonus time" at one of our Anaheim timeshares ... and now we have a WOC Dinner Package! Whoo-hoo! (Things are working!)

Signing out now ... going horseback riding. Happy weekend everyone!
