VGC at 7 months?

Has anybody had any luck getting a studio at VGC at 7 months? Just thinking ahead to what we may plan for summer 2010 (August). Our WDW AP's expire in May and we're doing the Med in 2011 so I think it would time to go somewhere else for a change... Not convinced yet if we should blow that many points tho on just 1 trip....but then wondered if it's even available at 7 months?!?

I think you might have a pretty good chance this year as more units get declared based on sales. Even if you have to waitlist, I think you have a shot.

On 12/26, we called and got a 1 bedroom for 7/25/10 - 7/28/10.

We booked a studio at VGC for July about a week go and had no problem

Cool. Now to compare how many pts. it takes for a studio at VGC vs just getting a reg. room at PP or something. AND to see if there are any RCI properties around SD or SF that we can get for a few nights on a trade... Maybe my plan WILL come together.

Ooooh this is promising! I am hoping to go around Dec 2012 (LOL to planning that far out... we are going to try to hit a different park each 5th year wedding anniversary so that's why). Maybe we will get lucky! If not, there's always the HoJo

I have stayed there twice and three upcoming visits. I either got a room right away or had to waitlist with them coming through fairly quickly. The shortest time frame from booking to the stay was about a month and a half. However, we only do or are doing 1 or 2 night stays on weekends (Fri-Sun or holiday weekends (Sat-Mon). It may be more difficult for longer stays.
