Veteran's Day Week--Crowds??

Our family hasn't been to our happy place in a few years. I'm hoping to pull together something in 2014. Right now, Veteran's Day week is looking good for our schedules, as it would mean pulling kids from school for less time. Summer isn't a good option for us...DH can't take the heat and to be honest I don't enjoy it either. I've never been in the fall. I'm a little excited at the prospect of going during a "new" time for our family. We typically visit in April, but have been in February too. All that being said, what can I expect that week? Yes, I've looked at the crowd calendars and the historical calendars. I'm looking for first hand knowledge/experiences on crowds. Additionally, it looks like we might be able to experience MVMCP while there...we've never done any of the special parties. Worth trying once??

Still catching up on all the FP+/Magicband info. We will def stay on site due to all these changes. Hoping to catch a free dining promo, but we'll see!

We haven't seen the Fantasyland expansion yet, so looking forward to that. Anything else I should have on my radar?? Not newbies, but we've only got 8 trips under our belts so I feel like I can always learn more, especially going at a time of year we're unfamiliar with. Oh, last question...weather?? Still warm, but maybe cool at nights? We're from the Northeast, so "warm" to us, is really anything over 60

Although it tends to be crowded that weekend, it is still very doable for rides and shows. I've been that time over the past few years and with planning, we've never had a problem. And MVMCP is definitely worth trying at least once!

Oh, last question...weather?? Still warm, but maybe cool at nights? We're from the Northeast, so "warm" to us, is really anything over 60

Weather tends to be warm during the day and cooler at night and in the morning (layers work for us). Also I find fewer rainy days as it tends to be less humid that time of year.

Arrived that Sunday on 2012 and somewhat crowded at EPCOT (Food Wine) and MK (Vet. Day) on Monday the crowds went down very nicely by Tuesday. We happened to do Keys to the Kingdom Tour on that Monday so the crowds were never really an issue. With Fastpasses we did everything we wanted except Peter Pan.
