Veterans Day 2015

Hello all,

My girlfriend and I will be heading to Las Vegas on the week of Nov.9-13 2015. And we plan on driving out one day to visit Disneyland. We've done this trip twice before but this time we will be smack dab in the middle of Veteran's day week. We do not plan to go on the 11th as we would like to take part in a Veteran's Day ceremony. But my question is this. Will DL be insanely busy on the 10th or the 12th?
The last time we drove out it was the Thanksgiving week and it was INSANE!!!!! Not worth going when its that busy. I know the first couple weeks on November are usually fairly slow but I wondered about going so close to VD. If anybody has any experience on this your help would be greatly appreciated.

You're likely to find more people making a 3 day weekend out of the race weekend the following weekend than you will people taking Monday off. The 13th is official start off holiday time, but most things will have soft opened that whole week. I'd do the Wednesday, but be aware that locals will come to the parks in the afternoon for the holiday offerings. If you're going to hop, do rope drop at DL and DCA later in the afternoon.
